Stellenbeschreibung

About ONIQ

ONIQ is building a new software category for the next generation of manufacturing operations. Our platform helps industrial companies understand what is happening across their production processes, uncover where efficiency is lost and act on the opportunities that matter most.

We bring together manufacturing expertise, advanced software and AI to help teams improve production at scale. The goal is to make production more efficient, more resilient and more sustainable, and to help teams make better decisions where they matter most.

We are a highly motivated team with a strong sense of ownership and passion for what we do. Our entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to innovation have enabled us to grow fast and help shape the future of manufacturing with cutting-edge software. At ONIQ, culture is just as important as product. We foster an environment rooted in authenticity, diversity, integrity, and mutual respect, where everyone is encouraged to bring their whole self to work.

What you will do

You will support the Product Management team across the entire product development lifecycle, from market research and backlog management to feature delivery and user enablement. You will work closely with other teams such as UX, Software Engineering, Sales and Customer Success. Here are some examples of what you might be working on:

  • Research UI/UX standards and best practices for SaaS software to support our UX team
  • Support owner reviews by helping implement frontend changes derived from our UX meetings
  • Analyze user behavior to understand how customers use our product and derive action items for the UX and Product Management teams
  • Help review and maintain the product backlog by identifying topics that are outdated, still relevant, or ready to be closed
  • Set up process automations, such as automated backlog management, refining our owner review skills, or aligning customer requests with the sprint board
  • Support the setup of our user help in ONIQ and in-product documentation
  • Conduct market research to identify relevant competitors, understand how other products approach similar problems, and inform decisions about which features to build

What we expect from you

  • You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • You have already gained practical work experience through previous student jobs or internships, ideally in product management, UX, or a software environment, and you are keen to bring that experience to the team
  • You are available as a working student for at least 12 hours per week
  • You work in a highly structured and organized way, and you keep track of many topics at once
  • You take ownership of your tasks, work independently, and are reliable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm for digitalization and willingness to familiarize yourself with a B2B SaaS product for manufacturing processes
  • A hands-on mentality and readiness to take responsibility within a fast-paced, dynamic team
  • Excellent language skills in both German and English (C1 level or higher)
  • Experience with automation tools is a plus
  • We love the energy that comes from working together in person, so spending time at our Cologne office matters to us. One on-site day per week is the minimum, and more time together is always welcome whenever it works for you

What we offer

  • A culture built on transparency, integrity and authenticity – we trust and respect each other and make decisions based on competence
  • A team that genuinely cares about collaboration and work culture: we regularly reflect on our teamwork, invest work time into team spirit and consciously create balance in everyday work
  • The opportunity to contribute to fighting climate change by helping industrial manufacturers to become more efficient and to reduce their CO₂ emissions, while we are mindful of our own environmental impact as a carbon-neutral company
  • All the benefits that make work more pleasant: flexible hours, remote work possibilities, regular team events and offsites, 30 days of annual leave (prorated to the working days of your contract), weekly yoga sessions and more
