Deine Aufgaben

As the Director (m/f/x) Delivery & Teams you own how we work in our client projects: how teams are staffed, how projects are run, and how our people grow. You lead a team of experienced leaders and the teams behind them, reporting directly to our Managing Director, Andreas Liebl. This is a newly created role and you will lead the area as an equal to our Director AI Solutions & Portfolio.
In our client projects the delivery model is changing fundamentally. People and AI agents work side by side, and that changes what a strong project team looks like and what our people need to be good at. You own the human side of this agent-native operating model: you set the standards our delivery is measured against, you decide who works on what, and you make sure our teams get better as the technology moves. Success shows in two places, in outstanding delivery for our clients and in people who want to do this work.
Please note: For this role, you can work from either of our offices, in Munich (House of Communication) or Heilbronn (IPAI Spaces), whichever suits you better. Both locations offer the same role and the same hybrid setup.

Your tasks will include:

• Serving as line manager for heads in appliedAI Delivery and turning them into a leadership team that sets clear priorities, decides fast and follows through
• Guiding our engineers and strategists through the biggest shift in how they work: less hands-on coding, more time with clients and new roles alongside AI agents, and bringing everyone along with clarity and confidence
• Designing team structures and ways of working that bring consultants, engineers and very different personalities together, so that projects get into a mode of flow
• Defining what great project work looks like at appliedAI: the methods, quality standards and review rituals for the team members that make our delivery robust, repeatable and better with every iteration
• Deciding who works on what, from the staffing rules to each individual project, balancing client needs, utilization and people's development
• Turning appliedAI's career paths and levels into real growth for individuals and teams in Professional Services, and deciding on promotions and salary development together with our People Partners
• Be a client partner for a set of strategic accounts, supporting them in their most important transformation with trust and as a role model
• Balancing transformation and disruption in a continuously accelerating technological development while staying at the forefront of what’s possible

Dein Profil

• Substantial hands-on project experience is a must, ideally with a background in engineering or technical delivery rather than pure strategy consulting
• Extensive leadership experience, including managing managers and leading mixed teams of consultants, engineers and other specialists across very different projects
• A track record of shaping how projects are organized: you have built team structures, methods or staffing models that made delivery work better
• A strong feel for people: you win others over, communicate clearly and bring very different personalities along through change
• Composure under pressure: you stay calm when things get intense and give your teams stability and direction
• A solid understanding of how a professional services business works, from client needs to utilization and margin, and a strong interest in how AI agents are changing engineering work
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
