ABOUT ENODE The grid was built for predictable, centralised power. Today it's absorbing intermittent supply from grid scale solar and wind, alongside dynamic demand from EVs, heat pumps, and home batteries. The missing piece is software that can connect and orchestrate these devices at scale. Enode https://enode.com provides the infrastructure layer that makes this possible. Our Connect https://enode.com/connect API gives energy companies a single integration to 1000+ devices across 80+ brands. Our optimisation https://enode.com/optimize tooling gives energy companies the building blocks to manage those devices locally - think smart charging for EVs. Our Flex https://enode.com/flex product turns those connected devices into a flexible, controllable asset for energy companies. We work with device manufacturers across the energy hardware ecosystem - from EV brands to heat pump and solar inverter producers. Our customers are energy retailers, utilities, and traders building the next generation of energy services. We're backed by Y Combinator, Lowercarbon Capital, and Creandum. The decisions made now will shape how the energy system gets built. We're looking for people who take ownership, move fast, and care deeply about the role technology can play in the energy transition. AI IS FUNDAMENTAL TO HOW WE WORK AI is how a team our size keeps rewiring the way we work, fast enough to match what our mission demands. We look for people who reach for AI as a reflex and who can drop a habit that used to work. People who care about unblocking others, not just about what they ship themselves. If that's not quite how you work yet but it's the direction you're heading, we'd still like to hear from you. We assess this in our interview process, alongside everything else we look at. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the team building the software layer that connects EVs, chargers, solar, and batteries, so customers can optimize across fleets of homes and within each home, helping people manage their own energy while participating in grid-scale optimization. That means redesigning for speed, reliability, and broader coverage, evolving from controlling individual devices to optimizing the entire home, driveway included. AI is raising the bar for engineering leadership, and we need someone who leads people, not just process, who sets a standard the team is proud to clear, and tells leadership what it needs to hear. Our people are our most valuable asset, and we're looking for someone who leads like that. You will: • Own the team's technical vision end to end, not just execute someone else's roadmap. You partner effectively with the product team to create an ambitious roadmap • Define what "great" looks like, and refuse to settle for less. Your definition comes from past experiences of seeing great teams succeed • Sit at the table with the CTO to shape strategy, product bets, and the roadmap for a business area we're still inventing • Sit on the engineering leadership team, your job doesn't stop at your team's edge • Lead the charge on AI adoption: find where it changes how we build, ship, and operate, and make it real, not theoretical • Hire and grow people who make the team sharper, not just bigger. You are a coach to your teammates and help them reach their full potential • Set expectations that are impossible to misread, then hold people to them with empathy and firmness, in equal measure • Delegate like you mean it: give your team real ownership, not just tasks • Push back on me (the CTO), on stakeholders, on plans that don't hold up, and do it in a way that builds trust, not friction • Build relationships people actually rely on, across engineering, product, and leadership • Be the person your team and peers come to think out loud with, no judgment, direct feedback both ways. THIS ROLE WILL BE RIGHT FOR YOU, IF: • 3+ years managing engineers, and you love it! • You have values you won't compromise, even when it costs you something; tell us what those are! • You are driven and ambitious, you push for hard goals and hold a high bar for yourself and everyone around you, consistently • You have good instincts for when to keep it simple and when a clever solution is worth the complexity • You've led remote, distributed teams and know what holds people together at a distance • You think past your own team, comfortable shaping decisions at the engineering leadership-team level • You’ve built AI products that have contributed meaningfully to the team's success • You do your best work with your stakeholders in the room, not despite them • Strong opinions, loosely held; you'll fight for a position, and drop it the moment the evidence says you're wrong • Genuinely interested in the Energy shift, not just management as a craft, but this problem specifically • Proactive to a fault; you spot the problem before anyone asks you to, and find …

Who Are We? Welltech is a global wellness technology company with Ukrainian roots. Our mission is to build and scale wellness apps globally through state-of-the-art, tech-driven performance marketing. We are one of the most established players in the wellness app space, and we are accelerating. Over 25.5 million people across the world use our apps — Muscle Booster, Yoga-Go, and WalkFit — to build healthier habits, move more, and feel better every day. Every subscription represents a real person making a real change in their life, and we take that seriously. With 500+ people across hubs in Cyprus, Ukraine, Poland, Spain, and the UK, we combine the scale of a market leader and the drive of a team that's just getting started. What We're Looking For How would you like to shape the product experience behind a portfolio of apps already generating hundreds of millions in ARR, growing 100% year over year — in one of the world's largest categories that still remains wide open? You'll have real cross-functional authority to shape the experience across Welltech's app portfolio — YogaGo, Muscle Booster, WalkFit — as we relaunch all three on a new, shared tech stack, building the foundational capabilities (onboarding, personalization, content discovery, and more) right, once, in a way that lets every app experiment and innovate faster than it could alone. Reporting to the CPO, you will own product development for the shared capabilities that power all of Welltech's apps — from the first moment someone opens the app, through the identity, personalization, and content systems that shape everything they do next. You will be responsible for both large step-change product innovation and continued, high-velocity incremental feature development, helping deliver real value to millions of users. Our culture encourages collaboration, transparency, passion, innovation, and having fun through continuous self-improvement, learning, and actively sharing feedback to constantly improve performance. You will move fast and are used to driving yourself and your teams in a quickly changing environment. You will challenge the norms and address innovation at pace and at scale. You will be comfortable with ambiguity, prototyping your own ideas — AI-assisted where it helps — before handing them to engineering to build for real, and you'll address challenges in a systematic, proactive manner to find solutions that increase customer value and happiness. Key Responsibilities: • Own the moment that matters most — the onboarding and activation experience across YogaGo, Muscle Booster, and WalkFit — as all three relaunch on a brand-new shared tech stack. You're not inheriting legacy decisions; you're making them. • Build it once, make it great everywhere — define how shared capabilities like welcome experience, content discovery, and personalization get built as reusable foundations, not duplicated three separate times across three separate teams. • Turn hunches into proof — design and run experiments focused on activation (getting people to their first workout) and reactivation (winning back the ones who drifted away). You'll always know what's actually working, not just what feels right. • Reimagine how content gets discovered — push beyond long-form-only browsing into modular, quick-access experiences that meet users where they are, not where the content library assumes they'll be. • Grow a team that grows with you — manage and mentor a small product team, and build the kind of day-to-day partnership with marketing and engineering leadership that makes big ideas actually ship. • Prototype before you pitch — build working prototypes yourself, AI-assisted where it helps, so ideas get tested in Required skills: • A proven track record building and scaling direct-to-consumer, mobile-first products — ideally somewhere that lived and died by retention, not just downloads • Real experience working alongside performance marketing — you understand what it's brilliant at, and exactly where product has to pick up the slack • A track record of shipping features that measurably moved activation, engagement, or retention — not just shipped, but proven • Sharp communication and stakeholder instincts — you can bring marketing and engineering into the same room and actually get alignment • Comfortable enough with AI tools to turn a rough idea into something tangible on your own — you don't need to wait for engineering to know if a concept has legs • A background forged in scale-up or startup environments, where you're energized by speed, experimentation, and metrics — not slowed down by them Candidate journey: Recruiter call --> Meet the Hiring Manager--> Business Case --> Panel Presentation Check out some of our products Muscle Booster — https://musclebooster.welltech.com/ https://musclebooster.welltech.com Yoga-Go — https://yogago.welltech.com/ https://yogago.welltech.com WalkFit - …
