About the company & products TuxCare offers a comprehensive portfolio of security solutions for Linux and open-source software designed for enterprise organizations. With TuxCare, companies can automate vulnerability patching, minimize downtime, maintain security and compliance, and rely on deep expertise in Linux and open-source security. Our solutions cover widely used Linux distributions, end-of-life systems, open-source software ecosystems, and other critical infrastructure. Learn more at: https://tuxcare.com/ We are currently hiring Staff Engineers for two TuxCare products: KernelCare and SecureChain . KernelCare KernelCare provides automated live patching for Linux kernels without requiring reboots, helping organizations keep production systems secure while avoiding operational downtime. As a mature and business-critical product, KernelCare offers the opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges at scale, evolve established systems, and improve automation while maintaining a strong focus on reliability and stability. Learn more at: https://tuxcare.com/enterprise-live-patching-services/kernelcare-enterprise/ SecureChain SecureChain is one of TuxCare's newer security products focused on open-source software supply chain security. SecureChain helps organizations use open-source dependencies more safely by providing packages rebuilt from verified source code, scanned for malware and supply chain risks, and continuously patched as new vulnerabilities are discovered. As part of the SecureChain team, you will help build the next generation of automation and high-reliability systems behind these processes, evaluating and improving existing workflows and using AI where appropriate to analyze data, support decisions, and improve operational visibility. Because SecureChain is still a relatively new product, engineers have significant opportunities to build systems from the ground up and influence its technical direction. Learn more at: https://tuxcare.com/securechain-for-oss/ About the role The role combines deep technical execution with technical product ownership and is approximately 70% hands-on software engineering and 30% technical product ownership . You will lead significant product components and workstreams end-to-end: clarifying requirements with stakeholders, defining milestones, designing solutions, contributing production code, delivering functionality to customers, and ensuring its continued reliability in production. This is an individual contributor role, not a people-management position. We are looking for someone who can operate autonomously, navigate ambiguity, and drive complex initiatives forward without relying on a manager to define every next step. As the product and priorities evolve, curiosity, adaptability, and a broad interest in the cybersecurity area will be important for success in this role. What you'll do: • Own major product components and workstreams throughout their full lifecycle, from initial discovery and planning to production release and ongoing improvement. • Work directly with engineering, product, sales, and other stakeholders to understand, gather, and clarify business and technical requirements. • Translate broad product goals into technical plans, milestones, and actionable engineering tasks. • Design scalable system architecture and make technical decisions for high-impact product areas. • Build, review, and maintain production-grade components end-to-end, ensuring reliability, security, performance, maintainability, and extensibility. • Take responsibility for delivered components in production and their continued operation and evolution. • Independently track progress and proactively communicate results, blockers, risks, dependencies, and changing requirements. • Research relevant technologies, tools, market approaches, and competitor solutions when needed. • Contribute to engineering quality through design reviews, technical guidance, mentorship, and best practices. • Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the regular engineering workflow for planning, implementation, debugging, testing, refactoring, automation, and code review. Requirements • Proven experience owning major projects, products, systems, or workstreams end-to-end. • Strong hands-on Python development experience. • Strong hands-on Linux experience and confidence working with Linux-based production environments. • Strong system design and architectural thinking, combined with the ability to implement proposed solutions hands-on. • Demonstrated experience building substantial systems or features and taking them through production release. • Experience gathering and refining requirements and turning broad needs into technical plans, milestones, and deliverables. • Strong technical product ownership and an understanding of how engineering decisions support broader product and business goals. • Ability to work independently without close day-to-day …

Who we are Process Street is an AI software and compliance operations platform startup from San Francisco. We help our customers build, document, automate, and track recurring workflows. Our platform automates the work, enforces the standards, and proves compliance so our global customers can run their businesses. We service over 3k customers around the world, and are VC-backed by Accel, Salesforce, and Atlassian. Our mission: To make recurring work fun, fast, and faultless for teams everywhere. Our culture: Process Street was founded on a strong belief in the work-life benefits of a healthy, collaborative remote culture. We value flexibility because many of us are parents, travelers, or just creatives who aren't inspired by the construct of a mundane 9-to-5. Spread across 9 different time zones, we communicate asynchronously, work autonomously, and take real ownership of our work. We know human connections are what make teams strong, so we regularly do coffee chats, game-playing, story-telling, and more, to build strong relationships. If you’re entrepreneurial and seek an environment that values impact, ownership, and flexibility we look forward to meeting you! Where and when you’ll work This is a fully remote role open to candidates based outside of the United States . Because you’ll be supporting US-based customers, you’ll work US business hours - primarily Pacific Time (PT) - with the flexibility to support customers across PT, MT, and CT. The Opportunity This is an early-career Customer Success role, and a great way to grow into the craft alongside an experienced team. You don’t need to have experience as a CSM before, but you do need to genuinely love working with people, solving problems, and a real curiosity about how people and companies operate. Customer Success sits at the heart of Process Street because our customers tell us where to go. You'll be one of the people closest to them, helping them get real value from the product and grow with us over time. Some customers start small and grow into huge, multi-departmental rollouts, and you'll be a central player in making that happen. No two customers look the same, and that's the fun part. What You’ll Do • Build trusted relationships with customers, learning how each one works and where they want to go. • Plan and guide new customers through implementation, onboarding, and training. • Support existing customers by answering questions, highlighting new features, and running Quarterly Business Reviews. • Contribute to support systems, such as in-product guides, webinars, and our Help Center. • Work closely with other departments to bring the customer voice into the product roadmap and strategy. • Identify expansion and referral opportunities through the relationships you build and think creatively about how to act on them. • Track the numbers that matter, like churn, time to first value, and net promoter score. • Experiment with new strategies, tools, and AI to help customers (and yourself) to work smarter. • Always keep our value of Delighting Customers top of mind. About You • You bring real customer experience! You’ve worked directly with customers or clients before and loved it. You come from a startup, entrepreneurial, or build-it-yourself environment. You’re scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity. • You’re a self-starter who’s driven by goals, not tasks. You don’t wait to be told the next step. You set your sights on an outcome and keep going until you reach it. • You think strategically and creatively. You spot new opportunities, think outside-of-the-box, and actively work toward those opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you. • You love building relationships. You’re genuinely excited to talk to people, learn how their teams and companies operate, and find ways to help them work better. • You experiment with AI and new tools. You’re already using AI and automation to get things done, and you’re constantly leveling up. You’re curious about technology, you tinker, and you bring that energy to helping customers build creative, complex workflows. • You love to learn and help others learn. New ways of working energize you, and you bring a positive attitude that lifts the people around you. • You’re an excellent written and verbal communicator. We’re a 100% distributed team, and writing is our primary method of communication. But you’ll be chatting with customers and teammates live too! Our Benefits • Unlimited PTO policy – Most take 3-4 weeks, plus their major holidays, AND a company-wide week off in December. • Social time – Regular coffee chats, games, story-telling, house tours (only if you're comfortable), and more to build connections. • Generous health insurance for US employees and their families. • Equity for all full-time roles. • A chance to shape how companies around the world run through the future of no-code automation. Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic’s complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI. What is the role We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch - Search team. This globally-distributed team of expert engineers focuses on delivering a robust and feature-rich search experience, including contributing to improving the search experience in Lucene. This is a principal software engineering role that focuses on enhancing the vector similarity search functionality within Elasticsearch, covering the design and implementation of new vector search features, enhancements to existing vector search functionality, and resolving bugs. Our company is distributed by intention. We hire the best engineers we can find wherever they are, whoever they are. We collaborate across continents every day over email, GitHub, Zoom, and Slack. At our best, we write fast, scalable and intuitive software. We believe that the best way to do that is to empower individual engineers, code review every change, decide big things by consensus, and strive for incremental improvements. What You Will Be Doing • Lead initiatives within Elasticsearch to produce an industry-leading vector database offering, supplying unparalleled speed and relevance in search. • Contribute to Elasticsearch full time, building new search features and fixing intriguing bugs, all while making the code easier to understand. Sometimes you'll need to invent a new algorithm or data structure. Or find one and implement it. Sometimes you'll need to get close to the operating system and hardware. • Work with a globally distributed team of experienced engineers focused on the vector search capabilities of Elasticsearch. • Be an expert on how Elasticsearch implements vector similarity in support of search relevance and everyone will turn to you when they have a question about this area. You'll improve this area based on your questions and your instincts. • Work with community members from all over the world on issues and pull requests, sometimes triaging them and handing them off to other experts and sometimes handling them yourself. • Write idiomatic modern Java -- Elasticsearch is 99.8% Java! What You Bring Along • Professional experience with vector similarity and vector databases, and you used HNSW, IVF, or other relevant algorithms and libraries on search platforms at scale. • You have strong skills in core Java and are conversant in the standard library of data structures and concurrency constructs, as well as other features like lambdas. • You work with a high level of autonomy, and are able to take on projects and guide them from beginning to end. This covers both technical design and working with other engineers to develop needed components. • You're comfortable developing collaboratively. Giving and receiving feedback on code and approaches and APIs is hard! Bonus points if you've collaborated over the internet because that's harder. Double bonus points for asynchronous collaboration over the internet. That's even harder, but we do it anyway because it's the best way we know how to build software. • You've used several data storage technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra and have some idea how they work and why they work that way. • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Like we said, collaborating on the internet is hard. We try to be respectful, empathetic, and trusting in all of our interactions. And we'd expect that from you too. • You have a proven track record of using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code, while still owning the final outcomes. • You possess the ability to collaborate across functions and teams and seamlessly transition between different projects, codebases, or teams based on business priorities • You work autonomously and can drive decisions and results in a distributed team by leveraging asynchronous, direct, and transparent communication. Bonus Points • You've built things with Elasticsearch before. • You've worked with open source projects and are familiar with different styles of source control workflow and continuous integration. • Experience with data storage technology. • You have experience designing, leading and owning cross-functional initiatives Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. You'll improve this area based on your questions and your instincts. • Work with community members from all over the world on issues and pull requests, sometimes triaging them and handing them off to other experts and sometimes handling them yourself. • Write idiomatic modern Java -- Elasticsearch is 99.8% Java! What You Bring Along • You have implemented novel techniques in vector similarity on a search platform with a large user base or progressed the field of academic research in vector similarity information retrieval. • Professional experience with vector similarity and vector databases, and you used HNSW, IVF, or other relevant algorithms and libraries on search platforms at scale. • Experience with data storage …
