Growth Marketing Manager, Foundry

À distanceEN
I

At Instructure , we believe in the power of people to grow and succeed throughout their lives. Our goal is to amplify that power by creating intuitive products that simplify learning and personal development, facilitate meaningful relationships, and inspire people to go further in their education and careers. We do this by giving smart, creative, passionate people opportunities to create awesome. And that's where you come in: Foundry is a standalone division inside Instructure, built to generate new revenue with AI-built products. You’re the growth engine for the pods. In the core business, this work splits across product marketing, demand generation, content, and lifecycle teams; here, it’s one person doing all of it — finding the message that lands, filling the early-access pipeline, and turning a working product into paying customers. You’ll set positioning, generate demand, and own the funnel from first touch to renewal, working hand in hand with Pod Founders who are selling as they build. This is a blank-page job: most pods start with no category, no audience list, and no playbook, and you’ll build all three. The role reports to the President, Foundry, with a matrixed dotted line to Instructure’s Marketing leadership. What you’ll do: • Own positioning and messaging. Craft the value proposition, naming, and packaging input for products customers have never heard of, and maintain messaging frameworks by segment across K12, higher education, and business and government. • Run go-to-market and launch. Own go-to-market readiness for pilots, early access, and general availability — timelines, channels, pricing input, and the launch assets that carry the story. • Build the demand engine. Generate pipeline through campaigns, audience building, early-access recruiting, and the top of the funnel that feeds the Founder’s selling. • Drive content. Create the collateral, digital content, and customer-facing assets that build demand and make the differentiation obvious. • Be the market and customer expert. Become the go-to expert on the portfolio’s customers and competitors, and feed that insight back into product and pricing. • Own lifecycle and adoption. Once customers land, drive adoption, expansion, and retention with consistent, value-based messaging. • Measure and adjust. Track funnel and campaign performance against pipeline and revenue, and change course fast when the numbers say so. What you’ll need: • Five or more years in product, portfolio, or growth marketing, ideally in ed tech or a related industry, with new-product launches under your belt. • A demonstrated ability to drive go-to-market strategy and execute strategic product launches end to end. • Demand-generation range — campaigns, funnel, and audience building — not just positioning and decks. • Strong writing, with a portfolio of strategically focused content and collateral. • The ability to influence executive and cross-functional teams, and to present to groups large and small, virtually and in person. • A full-stack marketer’s range — you do product marketing, demand generation, content, and lifecycle yourself, and you market to fill pipeline and close revenue, not to win awards. This role isn’t for everyone: You should probably pass if: • You want to own one slice — just messaging, or just campaigns — and hand off the rest. • You need an established brand and a built-in audience to market into. Here you build the category. • You measure success by impressions and activity rather than by pipeline and revenue. • You want a large marketing organization with clear lanes. This is one person, broad scope, and fast. Get in on all the awesome at Instructure! We offer competitive, meaningful benefits in every country where we operate. While they vary by location, here's a general idea of what you can expect: • Competitive compensation, plus all full-time employees participate in our ownership program - because everyone should have a stake in our success. • Flexible work culture. Our remote, hybrid and in-office collaboration spaces vary by role, team and location. • Generous time off, including local holidays and our annual “Dim the Lights” period in late December, when teams are encouraged to step back and recharge based on departmental needs. • Comprehensive wellness programs and mental health support • Learning and development resources, including professional development tools and tuition reimbursement, to support your growth • The technology and tools you need to do your best work • Motivosity employee recognition program • A culture rooted in inclusivity, support, and meaningful connection We believe in hiring great people and treating them right. The more diverse we are, the better our ideas and outcomes. Instructure is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We comply with applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws in every country where we operate. All employees must pass a …

REQUIREMENTS MUST-HAVES • Proven product management experience: You’ve shipped complex technical products in enterprise environments and can point to lessons learned that shaped your craft. • Strong developer empathy: You understand how engineering teams build, test, version, deploy, and operate software in production. • Thrive in ambiguity: You bring structure to fuzzy technical problems and prioritize clearly across many possible directions. • Exceptional product sense: You anticipate edge cases, second-order effects, and enterprise-grade reliability needs without needing perfect information. • Ownership and bias for action: You fix what’s broken, ship, learn, and iterate rather than over-plan. • Influence without authority: You align engineering, design, data, sales, solutions engineering, customer success, and docs through clarity and trust. • Technical product judgment: You’re comfortable making tradeoffs across usability, scalability, security, reliability, and implementation complexity. NICE-TO-HAVES • Git and source control experience: You’ve worked on or closely with products involving Git, branching, versioning, pull requests, or conflict resolution. • Enterprise security experience: You understand secrets management, environment variables, access control, or secure configuration patterns. • Observability experience: You’ve worked on products involving monitoring, usage insights, performance visibility, or operational dashboards. • Coding or SQL skills: You can code, write SQL, or go deep enough technically to partner effectively with engineers on architecture-level discussions. • Remote work experience: You’re familiar with remote-first work environments and can …

We designed a tool that lets creators quickly generate and iterate original images, vector art, illustrations, icons, and 3D graphics with AI. Join a universe of professional opportunities, develop and support large-scale projects, and shape the future of creativity. We are committed to making Recraft an essential, daily tool for every designer and setting the industry standard. Our mission is to ensure that creators can fully control their creative process with AI, providing them with innovative tools to turn ideas into reality. If you’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI, we want you on board! JOB DESCRIPTION Growth at Recraft is a numbers problem before it's a brand problem. We're looking for a UA Manager who owns paid acquisition end to end: setting up the channels, scaling spend without breaking payback, and knowing which lever moved the number. This is a hands-in-the-accounts role, not an agency-management one — and for the right person, a chance to build the performance marketing engine at Recraft from scratch and scale it toward $1M/month. One thing to know about the model, because it shapes the job: we don't run a free trial. New users get a pack of free credits, and once they need more, the only way forward is a paid subscription. That means conversion often happens on day one, and the numbers that matter are free-to-paid conversion rate, renewal, and payback by cohort — not trial starts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Own paid user acquisition on Meta first — account structure, targeting, bidding, budget pacing, and daily optimization. Meta is where the majority of the budget sits and where we expect the majority of your time to go. • Open and scale the next channels as Meta matures: Google (Search, PMax, YouTube, App) and TikTok. • Scale monthly spend aggressively while holding CAC, ROAS, and cohort payback targets. Growth without payback discipline doesn't count. • Build what isn't there yet: tracking, attribution, naming conventions, dashboards, and reporting — so decisions are made on data everyone trusts. • Own subscription economics, not vanity metrics: free-to-paid conversion, day-one subscription rate, renewal and churn by month, ARPPU, and LTV by cohort and by channel. • Run a structured testing cadence on audiences, placements, bidding, and offers — and brief creative based on what the data says, working directly with our Creative Designer. • Automate the repetitive parts of the job — reporting, pacing, anomaly alerts, creative rotation — using Claude and platform APIs, so your time goes to decisions rather than spreadsheets. • Forecast and plan budget, and report weekly on spend, CAC, and payback to marketing and leadership. WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH You'll join the Marketing team and work closely with our Performance Marketing Manager, Creative Designer, and the analytics and product teams. This is a role built around owning a number and bringing your own plan for hitting it, not executing someone else's media plan. REQUIREMENTS • 4+ years in user acquisition or performance marketing for a consumer subscription product — app, web, or both. • Deep, hands-on Meta expertise. You've run Meta as a primary acquisition channel at meaningful spend, built the account structure yourself, and can explain how you handled the moments where scaling stopped working. • You've managed a paid budget of at least $100k/month and can walk us through what CAC and payback did as you scaled it. • Experience setting up performance marketing from scratch — accounts, pixels and server-side events, MMP/SKAN or GA4, attribution logic, and reporting. • Fluency in subscription economics: free-to-paid conversion, renewal and churn, ARPPU, LTV:CAC, and cohort payback. Comfortable pulling your own numbers in a BI tool, with basic SQL. • Comfortable using AI in your daily workflow — analysis, reporting, and automation — rather than treating it as a side experiment. • Based in the EU, Georgia, Armenia, or Serbia, with the right to work as a contractor there. NICE TO HAVE • A track record of scaling paid spend to around $1M/month. This is a significant plus and would move a candidate to the top of the list. We know it's rare, which is why it sits here rather than in requirements. • Experience with a credit, token, or usage-based subscription — a model where conversion is driven by hitting a limit rather than by a trial expiring. • Hands-on experience beyond Meta — Google (Search, PMax, YouTube, App), TikTok, or Apple Search Ads. Strength in a second channel counts for a lot; all of them is not something we expect. …
