Senior Engineer

À distance ✓EN
S

As a senior engineer, you'll work across a diverse software portfolio—improving UIs, adding optimization workflows, fixing C++ bugs, and building MCP servers for LLM integration—rather than being tied to one product. You will work across our software portfolio rather than on a single product. On any given week that might mean improving the UI of a simulation control tool, adding a new optimisation workflow, fixing a bug in a C++ codebase, or building an MCP server that exposes one of our tools to an LLM agent. UI quality and AI-friendliness are both priorities here, and they reinforce each other. A well-designed tool with clear inputs, predictable behaviour, and informative feedback is easier for a scientist to use and easier for an LLM to drive reliably. You will think about both audiences. Part of your work will be making our existing tools usable by AI agents, designing tool interfaces that behave well when an LLM is at the controls, and building agent pipelines that integrate with our simulation workflows. We also have new projects to start from scratch. As you build familiarity with the domain and demonstrate ownership, there is genuine opportunity to lead one of those projects end-to-end. No prior background in simulation or optimisation is expected. The domain is learnable and we will support that process. What matters is that you are genuinely curious, pick things up quickly, and enjoy building tools that serious technical users depend on. C++ Programming Language; BS in Computer Science or applicable experience; must be fluent in English. Minimum 5-8 years experience in this type of role and preferably in the semi-conductor industry. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations. Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER At Silvaco, we do not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please contact us at 408.567.1000. https://www.silvaco.com/ About Silvaco, Inc. Remote — Data Insights Team — Full-time Modash gives brands the tools to work with the right content creators and helps creators earn a living doing what they love. Behind the scenes, the Data Insights team is building the intelligence layer that turns raw social media signals into trusted, customer-facing data products — with reliable access, quality, and freshness at scale. We’re looking for a hardened Senior Product Data Engineer to help us scale these systems end-to-end, raise our quality bar, and accelerate how quickly we turn messy public data into consistent, valuable insights customers can build on. What your day-to-day will look like We’re not a service function — Data Search & Data Insights are core product capabilities at Modash, building products for customers to use. Data Insights is a specialised team in Data Org, and you’ll own high impact projects end-to-end, from idea to launch. Here’s a typical day: • Start your day with a short standup • Heads-down focus time to plan, build, iterate, and launch • Minimal meetings — maximum ownership You’ll be working on big, impactful projects like: • Creating an understanding of the creators location, age, and interests at scale • Creating systems to extract collaborations between creators and brands from raw social data • Shaping the future of AI-assisted search, exploring how LLMs and embeddings can enhance search and recommendations. You won’t be patching pipelines — you’ll be creating data products from scratch that directly impact customers. The Data Team At Modash, the Data Insights team isn’t a support function — it’s a core part of the product. You’ll join a growing group of data and backend engineers, working within our broader Data organization. We work in three closely aligned teams within Data: • Data Insights — builds the creator and brand-level insight products and APIs (e.g., collaborations, reports, dictionaries, contacts, audience overlap). • Data Search — owns our search products (including AI Search) end-to-end. • Data Core — responsible for raw data collection and the foundations of our data platform. We value autonomy, but we also work closely as a team — through pair programming, fast feedback loops, and shared wins. Everyone is expected to take ownership, but nobody works in isolation. We’re remote-first, and we also make time to connect IRL through regular team offsites — to have fun, collaborate, and reflect. Our tech stack • AWS and GCP with Pulumi (IaC) • PySpark on AWS EMR for compute • GCP Vertex Batch API for LLMs • Airflow for orchestration • Iceberg and Aurora (Postgres) for persistence • Other: S3, Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, ECS, Athena • Tools: Slack, GitHub, Linear, Notion, Cursor The interview process We move fast. You can get interviewed in under a week. Process consists of: 1. Intro chat 2. Technical interviews: 1. Coding challenge (in PySpark) and 2. System Design 3. Team fit / Project presentation 4. Culture & alignment call with the CEO Avery Schrader - That’s it! Requirements Skillset we’re looking for • Strong knowledge of Spark (Scala, Databricks, or PySpark; PySpark preferred but not required) • Proven track record with ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data processing • Comfortable working with unstructured data • Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or AWS Step Functions • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem (Glue, EMR, etc.) • You've shipped full features from idea to production: planning & scoping architecture implementation release iteration • Based in Europe with significant working-hours overlap with EET (Tallinn time) • Hands-on experience building agentic / LLM-powered features in production • Practical understanding of trade-offs between LLMs (cost, latency, capability) Bonus points if you… • Have worked with AI/ML tools or LLMs • Are familiar with the GCP stack (especially Vertex AI) • Have worked with lakehouse formats like Apache Iceberg • Have used Pulumi or Terraform for IaC • Are familiar with Node.js and TypeScript • Understand AWS cost mechanics (how scale impacts spend) • Care deeply about code quality and system design • Are curious about the creator economy (we'll help you get up to speed) Not a fit if... • Your data engineering experience is primarily in analytics or BI (dashboards, internal reporting, warehouse modeling for analysts) • You haven't built and operated data products that ship as part of a customer-facing application • You're looking for a role focused on stakeholder reporting rather than building production data systems ‍ We’re looking for people that • Are tirelessly in search of the best versions of ourselves – Who want to really show what they’ve got and want to prove the world and themselves what they’re capable of. • Are direct in their communication – We support and encourage one another through direct, immediate & helpful feedback. • Know how to become …

At DigitalGenius, we build AI that resolves e-commerce customer service end to end: order issues, carrier problems, returns, refunds and replacements, often before the customer notices anything is wrong. Our customers include some of the biggest names in retail including On, Rapha, Air Up, Holland & Barrett, AllSaints, Honeylove, and Clarins. Role & Responsibilities: As a Solutions Engineer you are the technical owner of your clients' automation, and the person they talk to about it. You sit with a client's operations and engineering teams, decide and advise how their solution should work, build it, and stay accountable for it once it is live. If you want to be left alone to write code, this is the wrong job. Reporting to our Lead Solutions Engineer and working alongside Customer Success, your responsibilities will include: • Running scoping sessions with a client's operations and engineering teams, and working out what they actually need • Presenting your design, making the case for it, and steering clients away from approaches that will not hold up • Designing and building automation flows in the DigitalGenius platform for complex, high-volume use cases • Integrating the platform with the client's ecosystem (Shopify, Zendesk, Gorgias, Loop, OMS platforms, carriers) via APIs and webhooks • Building custom actions in Python where a use case needs one • Prompting, tuning and evaluating the LLM components that decide what the agent does • Troubleshooting behaviour across systems, data and AI, often live with the client • Reporting results back in a way a non-technical stakeholder can act on, and growing the account into new use cases • Taking what you see in real implementations back to Product, so the platform grows in the direction clients need Location: Remote, EU-based Working hours: Aligned to UK business hours (GMT/BST) Requirements Required: • 2+ years in a technical role working directly with external clients: solutions engineering, implementation, professional services, technical consulting, technical account management, or escalation-level technical support. • Proven client-facing judgement. You can run a scoping call and explain a technical decision to a non-technical audience, push back on a request that will not work, and stay clear when something has broken in production. • Strong understanding of APIs, JSON, webhooks, auth, pagination and rate limits, and the patience to find the gap between what documentation says and what an endpoint actually does. • Python. You can write/understand and debug a script, read someone else's code, and explain your design choices and how you tested them. • Hands-on experience building automations in a low-code or config-heavy tool: Zapier, Make, n8n, Workato, UiPath, Salesforce Flow, Power Automate, Retool, or a vendor's own platform. • Daily use of AI tools in your own work, with a clear view of where they help and where they need correcting. • Proven experience running several client projects at once against deadlines. Preferred: • LLM work: prompting, classification, guardrails, evaluation, OpenAI or Anthropic SDKs • E-commerce and OMS, especially Shopify: orders, fulfilments, returns, refunds, webhooks • Customer service platforms: Zendesk, Gorgias, Dixa, Salesforce Service Cloud • SaaS post-sales delivery: implementations, professional services or solutions teams Benefits • Competitive Salary • Generous vacation time (25 days) + Birthday off • Environment to develop your skills without bureaucracy or red tape • Monthly fitness stipend of $210 (Lifestyle wallet) from day 1 • Ongoing subscription to Mental Health Support Platform • Paid Claude/Cursor subscription: because we want you using the best AI tools every day • Learning budget to invest in courses, books, conferences, and certifications Interview Process We keep our process transparent and respectful of your time. Here's what to expect: • Round 1 (30 mins): Intro call with our Lead Solutions Engineer. • Round 2 (1 hour): Review of a take-home technical exercise with a panel (usually two people). • Round 3 (30 mins): Conversation with our CTO and VP, Product Delivery & Support • Round 4 (20 mins): Final chat with our CEO.

AI Native Software Engineer

À distance ✓EN

From empowering entrepreneurs to build successful businesses, to supporting their clients to arrange 'me time' moments, we're in the business of elevating people - helping them to thrive and feel fantastic. Lifting others up can be hard, heavy work, and we passionately believe that the sense of purpose and personal satisfaction this brings are worth it. What started in Poland is now an international, cloud-based marketplace that's scaling rapidly. We bring independent business owners together with their customers on a product that connects creative communities and opens up worlds of opportunities. For our providers, our products offer services for getting booked, paid, and building a loyal client base. For their clients, we're where they can find their favourite spots, discover new businesses and book appointments in an instant. Working in a rapidly growing, ever-changing scale-up comes with its own set of opportunities and challenges. If you prefer a stable environment, with clear processes and structures then, we've got to be honest, you won't always find that here. However, if you enjoy inventively solving problems with others, helping create clarity when things get confusing, and prioritising your own path within ambiguity, then the chances are that you'll love the opportunities available to grow your career at Booksy. The people you'll like to work with and things you'll enjoy impacting: As an AI Native Software Engineer reporting to the People Technology Manager in our People & Culture team, your purpose will be to work out what AI could do here that nobody has thought to ask for yet - and then build it. This is a brand new role, so a lot of it is yours to define. Specifically, you will: • Experiment first. We have used AI for the things we already knew AI could do. Your job starts where that stops. • Build what you propose. Ideas are the starting point, not the deliverable. You will take concepts through to working proofs of concept. • Ship AI-first features from ideation to launch, working agent-first rather than retrofitting AI onto existing tools. • Work across Product & Tech. You will have a mentor in our engineering organisation and your career will be levelled there - not siloed inside People & Culture. • Partner with experienced engineers, product managers and designers to get things live. Requirements Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role you're going to need… • Commercial experience in software engineering or another technical role - however you arrived there, and whatever you did before that. • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Gemini and Cursor, plus a working understanding of agentic workflows and concepts like MCP. • Confidence in at least one modern programming language - Python or JavaScript. • A portfolio, open-source contribution or project you can walk us through. We care more about what you have built than where you built it. • Fluency in English. Why? English is our company language and is used for any business-wide communications, so we need you to be able to speak English to feel like an integrated part of Booksy. It will also help you to have… • Open-source contributions with a visible history we can look at. • Something you have built with agentic frameworks or MCP that went beyond following a tutorial. • Exposure to Google Cloud. Benefits • We're proudly distributed across the globe, with each market being remote-first. • Depending on which market you're joining, you might have office access or be fully remote - either works. All we ask is that you're based in Poland, Spain or the UK for this role. • Additional benefits that might differ depending on the location. You shall be provided with the benefits details during or after your first conversation with one of our TA Specialists. How AI helps us find great people Think of our AI tool as a really smart assistant for our recruitment team. Its job? To help us move faster, stay consistent, and make sure no great candidates are overlooked. Every application goes through the same AI review to help us spot skills that match the role - but don't worry, AI never makes the decisions. Real people do. Our recruiters and hiring managers handle every final call. And we regularly review how the tool is used to keep things fair, ethical, and compliant with data protection laws. Curious about how it works? You can always ask how AI was used in your application - it won't affect your chances in any way. Our Diversity and Inclusion Commitment: We work in a highly creative and diverse industry so it goes without saying that we strive to create an inclusive environment for all. We welcome people from all backgrounds and are committed to fair consideration in our hiring process. If you have any accessibility needs or require reasonable adjustments during the interview process, please contact us at belonging@booksy.com , so we can best support you. Kindly submit …
