About Nebius: Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure. Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI. Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D. The Infrastructure Acquisition Group The Infrastructure Acquisition Group secures the land, power, and data center capacity that enables the Nebius AI Cloud. We identify where Nebius should grow next, structure the commercial agreements that make that growth possible, and partner across engineering, energy, finance, legal, and development to bring new AI infrastructure online. We're a small, founding team building this function from the ground up across the Americas, leading the acquisition of colocation, build-to-suit, powered land, and other strategic infrastructure opportunities as one of the world's fastest-growing AI cloud platforms scales. Examples of Problems We're Solving Validate electrical feasibility before commercial commitment. A site or agreement is only as good as its ability to support the power capacity and distribution infrastructure required to run it. You'll lead electrical due diligence, utility interconnection analysis, and equipment feasibility review to inform Go / No-Go decisions before deals close. Keep electrical design decisions ahead of development. Coordinate with Site Selection, Development, Engineering, and Delivery so power distribution topology, redundancy strategy, and equipment assumptions are validated early enough to protect schedule and budget once construction begins. Build a repeatable technical evaluation program. Help establish the standards, design criteria, and technical readiness gates that will support electrical engineering review across every AI infrastructure acquisition in the Americas. About the Role As an Electrical Engineer, you'll provide the technical electrical engineering perspective across the acquisition and development lifecycle — from initial site and deal evaluation through construction readiness. Working within the Infrastructure Acquisition Group, you'll partner with Site Selection, Technical Due Diligence, Development, Energy, Finance, and Delivery to ensure every project's power distribution, utility interconnection, and equipment assumptions are technically sound before they move forward. This is a build-phase role on a build-phase team. Many of the technical evaluation standards, design criteria, and readiness gates you'll use are still being written — in some cases, you'll help write them. We're looking for someone who can independently assess complex electrical infrastructure while helping build the systems that make every future evaluation faster, more predictable, and more scalable. What You'll Own • Lead electrical engineering evaluation of prospective sites, colocation capacity, and build-to-suit opportunities. • Own technical assumptions for power distribution topology, capacity, and equipment strategy feeding the pre-construction risk register. • Assess utility interconnection, on-site generation, and redundancy strategies (N, N+1, 2N) against site conditions and load requirements. • Recommend Go / No-Go input on electrical feasibility as projects advance through key development milestones. • Deliver technically validated electrical scope to the Delivery organization with complete documentation and minimized risk. Technical Due Diligence & Feasibility • Lead electrical due diligence on prospective sites, existing facilities, and colocation capacity under evaluation. • Evaluate utility capacity, interconnection queue position, substation requirements, and on-site generation/UPS strategy against projected IT load. • Assess electrical equipment availability, lead times (transformers, switchgear, generators), and vendor constraints that could affect schedule or capex. • Ensure electrical assumptions are fully integrated into project budgets, capacity models, and schedules. Design & Equipment Strategy • Partner with Engineering to define power distribution topology and redundancy strategy appropriate to each site and deal structure. • Evaluate EPMS/BMS controls integration and electrical system commissioning requirements early in the acquisition process. • Provide technical input on switchgear, UPS, and generator selection, redundancy strategy, and capex trade-offs across candidate sites. • Ensure electrical design intent is preserved as deals move from negotiation …

Manager, People Analytics

À distance ✓EN
C

The Workplace Engineering function sits at the intersection of traditional HR analytics and modern Product Engineering. We transform raw workforce data into a suite of "People Products" that drive high performance. We don’t just "report" on what happened; we engineer the tools and insights that determine what happens next. This new role will report directly to the Global Head of Workplace Engineering, and sits within our Data discipline inside of our People department. Experienced data professionals at Canonical live at the intersection of software, data, and the business. They don't just help surface analytic artifacts; they help transform them into a strategic asset that elevates decision making and innovation across our global operations (e.g., sales, marketing, engineering, and human resources). They balance technical precision with business pragmatism, designing and iterating on experiments, automations, and products that transform insights into valued outcomes. They shape tomorrow's AI/Data stack in open source, ensuring that Canonical remains at the forefront of data-driven excellence. Their curiosity is contagious and has an amplifying effect on data literacy and stewardship across the business teams they support. Location: This is a remote role based in the AMER or EMEA Region. The role entails • Multi-Disciplinary Leadership: Lead and mentor a specialized squad of People Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and UX Designers. You aren't just managing analysts; you are leading a product squad. • Product Ownership on People Science: Bridge the gap between "HR-speak" and "Dev-speak", ensuring engineers understand the human behavioral intent behind the code. • Strategic Insight & Business Outcomes: Move beyond descriptive metrics (e.g., turnover rate) to predictive and prescriptive insights (e.g., predicting attrition risk based on "Time-Product" engagement data). • Data Stewardship & Product Storytelling: Act as the "Translator-in-Chief". Take complex data models and turn them into compelling narratives. Lead the development of AI Agents that can surface insights to managers in real-time. Ensure the "People Data Stack" is secure, GDPR/privacy-compliant, and acts as a "Single Source of Truth" across all People related offerings, products and services. • “Effectiveness at Work” Strategy: Identify opportunities to leverage “High Tech” solutions in our People offerings, and free up more time for “High Touch”, human involvement, thereby maximizing human value. What we are looking for in you • Background in data science, mathematics, or engineering, skilled in advanced statistics, data wrangling/science, databases (SQL, etc.) or software engineering. • Strength in coding/scripting languages (Python, R, JavaScript, etc.), software engineering, visualization (e.g. Superset, Tableau), and automation. • Ability to translate business questions to key research objectives. • Ability to identify the best methodology to execute research, synthesize and analyze findings. • Proven ability to lead and drive others to execute against well planned roadmaps, with a strong mentor/coaching mindset. • Willingness to examine the status quo and be resilient in the face of challenges. • Ambition to build tomorrow's AI/Data stack in open source. • An exceptional academic track record from high school and university. • Business level written and spoken English. • Sincere personal motivation aligned with our mission. • International travel 2-4 times a year for company events up to two weeks long. In addition we expect that you will match our values, by being: • Precise, taking care to deliver correctness and clarity. • Reliable, delivering high quality work that builds trust and confidence. • Accessible, collaborating to build products and systems that are usable. • Adroit, blending enthusiasm, knowledge, adaptability, style and character. Nice-to-have skills • Experience with Airbyte, Ranger, Superset, Temporal, or Trino • Basic understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes • Agentic Engineering • Product management • User experience and design What we offer colleagues We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide. We assess performance and revisit compensation twice annually to ensure we recognize outstanding colleagues. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus or commission. We provide all team members with additional benefits which reflect our values and ideals. We balance our programs to meet local needs and ensure fairness globally. • Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person • Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year • Bi-annual compensation review • Company recognition rewards • 40 days annual leave per annum, including public holidays and our All Company holiday periods • Maternity and paternity leave • Team Member …

Senior Organisational Development Practitioner

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is very widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT. Our customers include the world's leading public cloud and silicon providers, and industry leaders in many sectors. The company is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration, with 1200+ colleagues in 75+ countries and very few office based roles. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution. The company is founder led, profitable and growing. Canonical builds the open-source software that runs the world’s clouds, devices and AI, and we hold our managers to a high standard. Our Talent Development team exists to make leaders and managers at Canonical genuinely excellent. We define what great management looks like here, and we bring managers and leaders up to that standard through direct, hands-on work, both from the centre and embedded inside engineering and commercial organisations. As a Senior Organisational Development Practitioner you are the person who sets the bar for how coaching and organisational development is practised here. You coach leaders to a clear standard of management excellence. You diagnose how a whole organisation is led and drive the plan to raise it. You develop the practitioners working in the field. It is one of the most senior and demanding Talent roles at Canonical: hands-on coaching and organisational-development craft with real leaders, in a company that expects you to be credible in a room of directors and to earn that credibility fast. You work both from the central team and embedded inside a leader's organisation for periods, turning what you learn in the field back into how we develop leaders and managers across Canonical. Location: These are remote based positions, available across EMEA and the Americas. What you deliver Raising individual leaders • Coaching leaders to visibly raise their game against a clear standard of management excellence. • Landing the hard conversations, because you coach leaders to make them happen. • Turning 360 feedback into real, followed-through commitments, not a report that gets filed. Lifting organisations and the company • Leaving an organisation you take on visibly better led, off a sharp first-weeks diagnosis and a plan you own and drive. • Contributing to defining and implementing new ways of working across our globally distributed company. Building the function and its standards • Developing the practitioners in the field so they get visibly better at their craft under your supervision. • Setting the bar for how coaching and organisational development is done at Canonical: owning what exceptional looks like, proving the methods in the field, and holding the practice to them. • Sharpening the management-excellence standard itself across Canonical, by feeding back what you learn in the field. What we are looking for in you • Deep, hands-on coaching and organisational-development practice with real leaders and teams, not just programme design. • A track record of measurably changing how leaders behave, with specific examples you can talk through. • Credibility: you can walk into a room of directors and be taken seriously. • Effectiveness operating inside someone else's organisation without formal authority. • A clear and honest philosophy of development: you know where coaching helps, and you are candid about where a role or fit decision is the right call. • An exceptional academic track record from high school and university. • Excellent written and spoken English. • Sincere personal motivation aligned with our mission. • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events. Nice-to-have skills • A management-consulting background: comfortable with ambiguity, able to diagnose, propose and move. • Experience coaching across a distributed, fast-moving, technical organisation. • Experience building competency or development frameworks. • Experience designing and running effective workshops or training sessions, in person and online. • Learning-design judgment for development materials. We want the design sense; AI handles the production drafting. • Talent-development experience, valued alongside but secondary to coaching and consulting craft. What we offer colleagues We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide. We revisit compensation …
