Research Intern, ClickHouse Labs

Remote ✓
C

PROGRAM OVERVIEW The ClickHouse PhD Research Internship Program offers doctoral students the opportunity to pursue ambitious research alongside ClickHouse Labs researchers and engineers working on some of the most interesting challenges in databases, systems, and data infrastructure. Research interns join ClickHouse Labs for approximately 10-12 weeks to explore meaningful research questions, develop new ideas, and investigate technologies that have the potential to advance both the broader research community and the future of ClickHouse. The program is intentionally designed around research collaboration. Interns are paired with experienced researchers and have the opportunity to pursue work that aligns with their academic interests, ongoing research, and areas of interest within ClickHouse Labs. In some cases, an internship may build on research, a prototype, or a system the student has already begun exploring at their university. We believe the strongest research relationships extend beyond a single summer. Interns may continue their work after returning to their university through academic research, open-source contributions, publications, or other forms of collaboration. Where there is a strong mutual fit, an internship may become the beginning of a longer-term relationship between the researcher, ClickHouse Labs, and the broader academic community. During their internship, researchers will have the opportunity to work closely with ClickHouse Labs, engage with ClickHouse's open-source technology and engineering community, share their findings, and contribute to the intellectual life of the broader research community. Program length: 10-12 weeks, with flexibility based on academic calendars and research needs Typical timing: Summer, beginning approximately June 1 Locations: Opportunities available across the US and Europe, subject to role and employment requirements. Remote first. Research environment: ClickHouse Labs Internship format: Research-focused, mentor-supported, and shaped around areas of mutual research interest Compensation: commensurate with experience, a monthly stipend will be paid RESEARCH AT CLICKHOUSE LABS ClickHouse Labs explores ambitious ideas at the intersection of databases, distributed systems, data infrastructure, and the broader systems research community. We believe some of the most interesting advances in these areas happen through close collaboration between industry and academia. ClickHouse Labs brings together researchers and engineers to explore new ideas, investigate challenging technical problems, and connect academic research with real-world systems at scale. Research interns are an important part of that community. Interns have the opportunity to bring their own research interests and perspectives into ClickHouse Labs while working alongside researchers and engineers who are deeply engaged with both the practical challenges and open research questions shaping the future of data systems. PROGRAM GOALS 1. Identify exceptional PhD researchers working in areas directly relevant to ClickHouse. 2. Give researchers the opportunity to work on meaningful, open-ended problems with ClickHouse Labs. 3. Build long-term relationships with researchers and academic institutions. 4. Encourage continued research and open-source contributions after the internship. 5. Create opportunities for co-authored papers, thesis advising, or other academic collaboration. 6. Increase ClickHouse's visibility within the database and systems research community. 7. Publish and share meaningful research outcomes through the ClickHouse website and other appropriate channels. WHAT MAKES THE PROGRAM DIFFERENT This is intentionally not a highly structured engineering internship and should not detailed planning. ****But the high-level problem area and expectations should defined several months before the internship begins. This flexibility is intentional and allows ClickHouse Labs to respond to: • Emerging research questions • Current ClickHouse priorities • New academic research • Interesting systems or database prototypes • Work candidates have already completed • Opportunities to apply new research ideas to ClickHouse The goal is to identify researchers whose work is already closely aligned with areas ClickHouse cares about and then determine the most valuable research problem to pursue together. CANDIDATE PROFILE We are looking for exceptional PhD students conducting research directly relevant to ClickHouse and the broader database/systems space. IDEAL CANDIDATES • Currently pursuing a PhD in computer science or a closely related field • Conducting research in areas relevant to ClickHouse • Demonstrated research excellence • Strong database systems, distributed systems, hardware, or related technical background • Has demonstrated ability to independently pursue complex research questions • Ideally has prior experience with …

About the SQL Console Team The SQL Console team operates with a great degree of autonomy inside ClickHouse, building the rich web interfaces, interactive query environments, data visualization dashboards, and dynamic AI agents that developers use daily to interact with ClickHouse Cloud. What We Are Looking For • React Architecture Depth: Deep expertise in building complex, state-heavy web applications in React (Zustand, Redux, TanStack Query, or Context API). • Rendering & Data Viz Performance: Proven ability to handle high-volume data rendering using DOM virtualization (react-window), Canvas/D3.js, or memoization techniques. • Full Stack Comfort (Node.js): Strong hands-on experience writing asynchronous Node.js / Express microservices and streaming APIs. • Founder / Builder Mindset: Previous experience as a startup founder, side-project creator, or early engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments without rigid specifications. Langfuse - Product Manager

Remote ✓
C

Langfuse is hiring its first Product Manager. You will work with the founders to define the product vision and set the strategic direction. You will also work with Solution Architects, sales, and marketing. Your input will help shape product decisions. Engineers at Langfuse own delivery from start to finish. They help find solutions and turn them into technical requirements. They implement and launch the work. They support each launch with documentation and changelogs. They also speak directly with customers to receive feedback on features and educate the roadmap. The whole company helps shape the quarterly roadmap. The engineering team then delivers it. As Product Manager, you will look beyond the current quarter. You will build a deep understanding of our market and emerging trends. You will also study how engineers use AI to build agentic applications. You will use these insights to create clear product artifacts. They will define the user problems we want to solve and how we want to solve them. WHAT YOU WILL DO AT LANGFUSE: • Shape the product direction and translate long-term opportunities into clear priorities. • Turn customer, community, and market insights into decisions about what to build and what not to build. • Lead new product areas from research and scoping through launch. • Work closely with founders, engineers, designers on APIs, SDKs, infrastructure, UX, and documentation. • Align founders, engineering, sales, marketing, and key customers without introducing unnecessary processes. • Make the product-engineering team more effective through clear context, strong judgment, and concise written briefs. • You will own the quarterly roadmapping process and propose in which direction we should develop Langfuse. WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO: • Project Management for engineers. Everyone here can organize themselves, you do not need to do this. • Slice large projects into Linear tickets. Single engineers execute on large projects in Langfuse. • Communicate between customers and engineers. Engineers talk to customers daily. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: • An experienced PM from developer tools, observability, infrastructure, data, or a similarly technical product. • Technical enough to reason credibly about APIs, SDKs, architecture, and UX tradeoffs. • You are hands-on: you test products, you talk to users, you maybe build a small prototype. • Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and product taste. • Comfortable with ambiguity, autonomy, and a fast-moving environment. • Pragmatic, calm, organized, and focused on shipping. • Excellent written and spoken communication. • Deeply interested in AI and already using AI tools extensively. • Experience with open source, enterprise software, or major platform shifts is a plus. PERKS • Flexible work environment - ClickHouse is a globally distributed company and remote-friendly. We currently operate in over 25 countries. • Healthcare - Employer contributions towards your healthcare. • Equity in the company - Every new team member who joins our company receives stock options. • Time off - Flexible time off in the US, generous entitlement in other countries. • A USD$500 Home office setup if you’re a remote employee. • Global Gatherings – We believe in the power of in-person connection and offer opportunities to engage with colleagues at company-wide offsites. Principal Product Manager, Partner Integrations

Remote ✓
C

Recognized on the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 list https://www.forbes.com/companies/clickhouse/?list=cloud100, ClickHouse is one of the most innovative and fast-growing private cloud companies. With more than 4,000 customers and $250M ARR https://clickhouse.com/blog/clickhouse-tops-250m-arr-and-4000-customers, ClickHouse leads the market in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads. The company's sustained, accelerating momentum was recently validated by a $400M Series D financing round https://clickhouse.com/blog/clickhouse-raises-400-million-series-d-acquires-langfuse-launches-postgres. Over the past three months, customers including Capital One, Lovable, Decagon, Polymarket, and Airwallex have adopted the platform or expanded existing deployments. These customers join an established base of AI innovators and global brands such as Meta, Cursor, Sony, and Tesla. We're on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey! We're hiring a Product Manager to own partner integrations at ClickHouse. This role owns how ClickHouse shows up inside the platforms our customers already use: embedded, native experiences across the hyperscalers and developer platforms, and deeper technical integrations with strategic partners like dbt, Fivetran, Hex, and Sigma. There is a growing surface of partner work already in motion, and this role shapes where we invest in co-innovation opportunities. This is one of the most cross-functional roles at ClickHouse. You'll work across multiple engineering teams, our partnerships and solutions teams, and the partners themselves to deliver meaningful co-innovation and integrations with complementary technologies. You'll own the technical side of our House Mates partner program and be the person who navigates the multi-org reality of getting an integration certified, listed, and live. This is a hands-on role: you'll write the specs, run the partner calls, drive certification processes, and coordinate across teams to get things over the line. YOU WILL • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for ClickHouse's Cloud integrations with strategic partners • Seek out complementary innovation opportunities with partners. Define what a "better together" integration looks like with each strategic partner, and drive it from joint roadmap through launch. • Navigate the trade-offs of embedded integrations: billing and metering, identity and auth, security and data residency, and coordination across ClickHouse and partner teams. • Project-manage complex, multi-org launches: marketplace listings, certification processes, partner co-marketing, and GA timelines across multiple organizations. • Own the technical standards and certification criteria for integrations submitted through the House Mates partner program. • Measure and communicate co-innovation business impact, adoption and product strategy to executive leadership. • Represent ClickHouse externally at partner events and in joint content. YOU BRING • Experience shipping integrations into third-party platforms before: hyperscaler marketplaces, embedded or native integrations, ISV partnerships, or OEM/white-label work. • An understanding of the trade-offs that make or break a partner integration, billing, auth, security, cross-team dependencies, and have made those decisions in the past. • A strong project management lens and are comfortable owning a launch that depends on five teams across two companies. • Patience and resilience with partners who are unresponsive or have their own competing priorities, and you find creative ways to keep things moving anyway. • Technical ability to understand an integration end to end, from provisioning and auth to billing and data flow, and to hold a credible conversation with engineers about APIs, architecture, and technical trade-offs. • Energy and excitement for external-facing work: partner calls, customer conversations, and representing the product publicly. • Hands-on and high ownership ability. You write the specs, run the partner calls, and stay close to the details. • Comfort in ambiguity and fast-moving environments. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Hands-on experience building partner integrations with hyperscalers and modern technology companies. • Experience running or supporting a technology partner program. • Background at a database or data infrastructure company; familiarity with ClickHouse or peers like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks. • Experience working in remote, multi-timezone environments. • …
