Freelance Video Editor

Remote ✓
S

We're not looking for someone who makes things look pretty. We're looking for someone who makes things perform. As a Freelance Video Editor at Shook Digital, you'll take raw creator footage and turn it into scroll-stopping UGC ads - iterating fast, remixing creatively, and using every tool available, including AI, to ship assets that win. WHAT YOU'LL OWN UGC PRODUCTION EDITING • Edit raw creator footage into polished, script-accurate UGC ads. Maintain the native, platform-first feel that outperforms studio content on TikTok. PERFORMANCE-DRIVEN ITERATIONS • Review ad results and iterate cuts based on what the data says. Swap hooks, recut bodies, and test new CTAs with speed and precision. CREATIVE REMIXES • Repurpose winning assets into fresh variants. Combine hooks from one ad with bodies from another. Build the modular library that fuels our testing engine. AI VIDEO EDITING • Use AI tools to localise and dub creator content across languages and AI voice overs. Stay ahead of what's possible with lip-sync workflows and apply it at scale. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • TikTok-native editing instincts — you know what a strong hook looks like in the first 2 seconds of raw footage, and you know how to build toward it. • Speed without sloppiness — you're comfortable turning around multiple cuts in a short window. Fast doesn't mean careless. • Performance mindset — you care whether your edits work, not just whether they look good. You read the results and apply them to the next cut. • AI tool fluency — you've used tools like ElevenLabs, or equivalent for dubbing and lip-sync. You experiment and stay current. • Modular thinking — you understand the hook / body / CTA structure and can edit to the module, not just the whole video. • Autonomous execution — you read the brief, ask the right questions once, and deliver. You don't need to be chased. HOW WE HIRE 01 – THE BRIEF • 20 min call on our editing workflow and your UGC experience 02 – WORK TRIAL • Paid, 2–3 hr editing tasks using a real campaign brief 03 – EDIT REVIEW • Walk us through your cuts and your decisions 04 – FINAL CHAT • Align on terms. We move from interviews to onboarding in days. MORE DETAILS Remote · Freelance · CET overlap preferred · Paid trial included

We're more than just a website builder. We're an AI-powered platform that helps self-employed people actually run and build successful businesses — from getting found online, winning customers and running their business with a peace of mind by knowing exactly what to do next to move forward. At the heart of Jimdo is a strong belief in personalized, data-driven guidance. Our platform combines design, business tools, and an AI-powered core that turns real customer data into clear insights and next steps helping our customers focus on what moves their business forward. This role offers the opportunity to work with a modern cloud data stack including Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, AWS, and AI-powered engineering tools. YOUR IMPACT: • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations using dbt, SQL, Python, and Snowflake. • Develop and optimize data ingestion workflows, API integrations, and CDC pipelines using established engineering frameworks and best practices. • Implement data quality checks, testing, monitoring, and observability mechanisms to ensure reliable and trustworthy data products. • Design and maintain the foundational data layers, delivering clean, schema-enforced, contract-compliant, and analytics-ready upstream models for domain teams to leverage. • Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve productivity, code quality, and documentation. • Collaborate with analysts, BI teams, and stakeholders to define metrics, clarify business logic, and deliver impactful data solutions. • Contribute to data governance, compliance, and platform reliability by following data contracts, security standards, and engineering best practices. WHAT YOU BRING: • 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a related field. • Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions. • Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation, testing, and documentation. • Practical experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake. • Experience building data workflows and automation using Python. • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow and Git-based development workflows. • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. • Experience with AWS services. • Exposure to data governance, data contracts, and compliance frameworks. • Experience using AI coding assistants and integrating AI into engineering workflows. • Familiarity with modern observability and monitoring practices for data platforms. You can manage your working hours flexibly because we prioritize the results you deliver over the number of hours you put in. An International Diverse Team: Our team is a mosaic of over 220+ individuals hailing from 50+ different countries and working across 15+ diverse locations. We take pride in our openness and inclusivity, with an Employee-led DEI Council and active ERGs that ensure everyone's voices are heard. The core mission of the Senior Data Engineer: You will own and evolve our data pipelines on GCP — building new ones, hardening existing ones, improving data quality, and making clean, trustworthy data available across the organisation. You'll work end-to-end on streaming and batch pipelines, from CDC and event ingestion through transformation, serving, and the feature layer that powers our ML and AI products. Your day-to-day will include designing ELT/ETL processes on BigQuery and ClickHouse, building real-time pipelines on Pub/Sub and Kafka with Dataflow (and where it fits, Flink/Spark), orchestrating workflows with Airflow, and ensuring data is properly cleaned, modelled, and served for analytics, ML training, and online inference. You'll partner with ML engineers on feature pipelines, monitoring data drift, and keeping models well-fed and retrained as needed. You'll consume and build REST APIs, integrate with third-party SaaS sources, and treat infrastructure as code. Location & Work Mode: • Europe/Greece • Choose between fully remote work across Europe or relocating to our Athens Tech Hub with relocation support. Fully Remote / Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days remote, plus one month of work from anywhere) - If only in Greece: When hiring in Greece, we’re open to candidates from all locations. Those based within 55 km of our Athens office will follow a hybrid work model. For candidates located beyond that radius, a fully remote arrangement is available. We're in the middle of a GCP-native modernisation — migrating away from Snowflake toward BigQuery, Bigtable, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow — so we're looking for someone who's opinionated about clean architecture, allergic to over-engineering, and comfortable owning systems end-to-end. If retiring a legacy warehouse and standing up its replacement sounds like a good time, you'll fit right in. Technology tools & weapons you’ll be using: • Cloud & warehouse: GCP, BigQuery, Bigtable, Cloud Storage • Streaming & messaging: Pub/Sub, Kafka • Processing: Dataflow (Apache Beam), with Flink/Spark where appropriate • Orchestration: Airflow (Cloud Composer) • Analytical store: ClickHouse • Languages: Python, SQL • Modelling & quality: dbt, data quality gates • Containers & CI/CD: Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions / equivalent • Legacy (being retired): Snowflake The adventures that await you after becoming Senior Data Engineer at Hack The Box: • Design and build batch and streaming pipelines on Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Kafka feeding BigQuery, Bigtable, and ClickHouse • Help drive the migration off Snowflake onto our GCP-native stack — and retire shadow pipelines along the way • Own the orchestration layer in Airflow, including SLAs, retries, and data quality gates • Model data for analytics and for ML — including feature pipelines that serve both training and low-latency online inference • Partner with ML engineers on feature stores, drift monitoring, and retraining workflows • Capture requirements from stakeholders and translate them into pragmatic, well-scoped data products • Continuously improve data quality, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency • Identify new data sources worth acquiring and integrate them cleanly Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of the Senior Data Engineer at Hack The Box: • Strong data modelling and warehouse architecture skills (dimensional modelling, event-driven, lakehouse patterns) • Hands-on experience with GCP data services — BigQuery is a must; Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Bigtable, Cloud Composer are strong pluses • Production experience with streaming pipelines on Dataflow/Beam, Flink, or Spark Structured Streaming, ingesting from Kafka and/or Pub/Sub • Solid SQL and strong Python — you write production-quality code, not just notebooks • Experience with ClickHouse or another columnar OLAP engine in production • Workflow orchestration experience with Airflow (or Prefect/Dagster) • Comfortable with dbt or equivalent transformation frameworks • Experience migrating off legacy warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse) onto cloud-native stacks is a plus • Working knowledge of ML in production — feature engineering, feature stores, model deployment, drift monitoring, retraining • Docker …

Bei 1KOMMA5° verfolgen wir eine Vision: Living on wind and sunlight forever for free .
