Technical Product Manager
RemoteAbout BJAK The original mission of BJAK is we believe people deserve smarter ways to plan, save and grow their money. This is the origin of our name. Started in 2019, we built the first mobile-first, insurance platform, enabling insurance to be accessible online by millions in the region. Today, its the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia. Today, we are expanding ways to help people in the region — this includes spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more. Our mission is help people get more from their money every day. We have teams working around the world, with over 20 nationalities from our offices and remotely, who truly enjoys their work. We are looking for the most talented and driven people we can find. We are looking for people who work for their passion, not counting hours. Who loves building great next-generation products, not status quo. Who cares about redefining how everyone around us can get the best financial applications, not for an exclusive few. If you're this person, we'd love to talk to you. The Role BJAK is building a Neobank Superapp for Southeast Asia. As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll own a product vertical end to end—such as payments and expense management, remittance, insurance, or wealth and trading—from strategy, outcomes, and roadmap through to the technical design and delivery of the systems behind it. This is a product where real money moves, mistakes are immediately visible, and licensing, compliance, and third-party rails are core product constraints—not considerations around the edges. We are AI-native by default, but AI is a means, not the goal. The bar is knowing where a model can genuinely improve an outcome, where deterministic systems must remain in control, and how to build products that are reliable, auditable, and trusted when money is involved. What you'll be doing • Own a vertical end-to-end — outcomes and metrics, a backlog prioritised by value / risk / dependency / strategic priority, acceptance criteria crisp enough to build and test against. • Shape the technical design with engineering — system boundaries, money-movement correctness (idempotency, ledgering, reconciliation), third-party-rail reliance and rail-down behaviour, failure/retry/refund paths, security, latency, scalability, recovery. • Make hard trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability and UX — and defend them to an engineering, compliance or ops lead who pushes back. • Treat regulated constraints as first-class product inputs — licensing scope, CDD/KYC and limits, sanctions/PEP screening, transaction monitoring, data residency and privacy. Know which are hard launch gates and which are forward-readiness. • Apply AI where it earns its place — define what it's allowed to decide, where a human stays in the loop, how it's evaluated, and what it does when unsure. Every AI-surfaced number traces back to a real record. • Ship against external gates — build feature-complete behind flags; go live per rail as each partner and regulatory gate clears. • Work across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury and Finance/Reconciliation. What you'll need • Product leadership — significant experience owning a complex technical product end-to-end; strong judgement and decisiveness under ambiguity; ability to balance ambition against technical, regulatory and operational reality; can hold their own with senior engineers. • Technical foundation — solid system design (boundaries, datastores, queues/workflows, APIs, failure modes, consistency under concurrency); comfort reading, reviewing and challenging design docs; can sketch an architecture and a sequence. No production code, but technical enough that engineers don't have to simplify. • Domain — experience in a regulated / high-consequence domain (payments, banking, remittance, insurance, …) or demonstrable fast-ramp ability; understands why money movement is different (correctness over convenience, irreversible states, partners you don't control). • AI judgement — hands-on with LLM-based products; can frame a feature as eval-able (offline, online, human feedback); realistic on hallucination/drift/data gaps, including data-blocked vs model-blocked and when a model must not be in the loop at all. • Nice to have — engineer or highly-technical-PM background · zero-to-one · shipped AI-heavy consumer products · defined eval metrics for ML/LLM systems · AI UX + failure-handling intuition · SEA market experience. Outcomes • Clear vertical strategy and legible roadmap • Ships fast and clears the gates that actually block launch • Money is correct and users are never misled about the state of their funds • AI features are valuable, predictable and trusted • Trade-offs made deliberately under uncertainty and hold up when challenged • Engineering, design, compliance, and operations are aligned with minimal friction Location This role is remote, but candidates must be based in Spain . RemoteWho we are Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara , we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale. Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term. If you're making 80 calls a day placing candidates, chasing vendors, or selling down a list — you already have the most important skill this role requires. Samsara is looking for people who thrive on the phone, refuse to take no personally, and want their hard work to mean something beyond a placement fee or a quarterly target. We're not looking for people who've done this exact job before. We're looking for people who are built for it. What Samsara does We build technology that keeps the world's physical industries running safely — the logistics companies moving goods across the country, the construction fleets finishing roads on deadline, the utility trucks dispatched after a storm. Our platform connects vehicles, equipment, and the people who operate them, giving businesses the visibility to run smarter and keep their workers safe. It's a product that sells itself once prospects understand it. Your job is to get them on the phone long enough to find out. What this role actually looks like Every day, you'll be reaching out to operations managers, fleet directors, and business owners across Europe — via phone, email, and LinkedIn — to start conversations about how Samsara could help their business. You'll be making 40+ calls a day. But this isn't just a numbers game — you'll build genuine, lasting relationships with the prospects you speak to, and work hand-in-hand with your Account Executive to move those conversations forward and turn them into real opportunities. Why high performers in sales make this move You're good at selling. You make the calls, you hit your numbers, and you push through rejection without thinking twice. But somewhere along the way, you've started to notice the ceiling — the commission structure that doesn't scale the way it should, the career path that narrows the longer you stay, or the feeling that your skills are worth more than the role you're in. Here, you're selling a product that makes physical industries safer and more efficient. Your pipeline is yours to build. And the path to Account Executive — where you run your own territory, own the full sales cycle, and earn significantly more — is typically two years away, with a structured programme to get you there. If you've been looking for a role where the effort you put in actually compounds, this is it.. You'll also: • Build and manage your own outreach pipeline across target accounts • Represent Samsara at industry events and trade shows • Become a genuine expert in the industries you sell into — from waste management to food distribution • Log and track every interaction in Salesforce (we'll train you on this from day one) Where this role takes you This isn't a job — it's a launchpad. Samsara 's ADR programme has a clear path to a closing Account Executive role, typically within two years. AEs manage their own territory, run full sales cycles, and earn significantly more. If you've spent time in recruitment wondering what it would feel like to sell something tangible with a higher ceiling, this is it. The programme has three levels: The ADR programme runs across three levels, each building the skills you need to step into a closing role: • ADR I — Handle inbound leads, get product-certified, and learn the Samsara way of selling. You'll be trained on cold calling, objection handling, and our sales tools from day one. • ADR II — Move to outbound. Build pipeline from scratch, develop sequencing and persona-based messaging skills, and work directly alongside Account Executives. • ADR III — Operate like a junior AE. Territory planning, customer demos, and direct mentorship from AE leadership — all building toward your promotion interview. You'll thrive here if you: • Come from a high-outbound role — recruitment, estate agency, telesales, financial services — and you've consistently hit your targets • Treat rejection as information, not failure • Love talking to new people and can …
