Job description
SE Ranking is a profitable, growing B2B SaaS business – around 200 people, remote-first and globally distributed. Our websites are one of our largest acquisition assets and the first product experience most customers ever have — and there are a lot of them: several sites across our product suite, in multiple language versions. We're hiring a Website Lead to own all of it: the team, the web properties, and everything that ships.
This is a hands-on, build-oriented role. You'll lead our in-house web team, set the roadmap and the priorities, and be accountable for two things above all: how fast changes go live, and how well the sites run once they're there. You'll also build AI into how the whole team works, so that every process gets faster.
You'll work closely with marketing, content, design, SEO, and our country teams. If you're energised by owning a business-critical asset with a real team behind it and the authority to change how it works, in a fast-moving, low-ego, global team, this is your role.
What you'll do
- Own our web properties end to end. Set the website roadmap, define success measures, and track results against business goals. Work with technical leads to keep our sites reliable, accessible, fast, and maintainable, including their CMS setup and integrations.
- Manage multiple websites and language versions. Coordinate improvements across our product websites and local versions together with regional teams and local managers. Use shared templates, components, and localisation workflows where they add value, while respecting each brand’s needs and technical setup.
- Lead the web team. Manage and develop the in-house web team, run sprint planning and weekly reviews, and plan capacity. You set the outcome and the constraints, then trust experienced specialists to choose how they build it. You give feedback as you go, and you have a clear view of how each person on the team grows.
- Set the priorities and make the call. Turn competing requests into one clear, prioritised plan based on business impact, effort, dependencies, and team capacity. Make trade-offs clear to stakeholders, including what moves or waits when priorities change.
- Give the team the context. People know what the business is trying to achieve, why a priority changed, and what leadership expects, not just what is next in the sprint.
- Manage external partners. Set clear scopes, deliverables, and quality expectations for contractors and agencies. Manage delivery within agreed budgets and timelines, and raise resource gaps early.
- Ship fast and reliably. Work with development and QA to build a clear release process, with appropriate testing, monitoring, and rollback plans. Keep stakeholders informed about what is shipping, when, and any risks to delivery.
- Improve workflows with AI and automation. Identify repetitive work, build and test practical workflows, and help the team adopt them. Measure whether they save time or improve quality, with human review where needed.
- Drive CRO across our websites. Work with CRO and analytics specialists to identify opportunities and prioritise hypotheses. Own the delivery of website changes needed for experiments, while CRO specialists manage the tests. Make sure findings lead to clear decisions: implementing a change, reverting it, or revising a hypothesis. Work with specialists to measure the impact of what goes live.
- Translate strategy into website improvements. Turn business, brand, and marketing goals into clear website briefs covering structure, messaging, user journeys, and expected outcomes. Define requirements and acceptance criteria together with the relevant specialists.
- Collaborate across teams. Align marketing, content, design, SEO, PR, country teams, and product and engineering teams around shared website goals. Agree on responsibilities and dependencies so work can move forward across teams and brands.
We're looking for someone who has
- Senior website experience. 5+ years working on high-traffic marketing websites, including 2+ years in a leadership role, preferably in B2B SaaS. You've worked across several websites, markets, or localised versions.
- A hands-on approach. You have a working understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to understand page structure, forms, interactive elements, and tracking, and to discuss changes with developers. You can make small CMS updates, build prototypes, or test automations yourself, and know when to involve a specialist.
- Technical judgement. You don't need to be a WordPress developer yourself, but you understand dependencies, technical debt, risk and limitations well enough to know why not every request can be done quickly and easily, and to explain that clearly to the people asking.
- Delivery experience. You've owned a website roadmap, prioritised competing requests, and planned delivery around team capacity and dependencies. You've run sprint planning and release processes, including work delivered by …
