The Position

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer/Academic Owner for Business Management to join our fully remote team!

In this role, you will develop content, facilitate and assess learning across a range of business management modules, including Sustainable Business Practices, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Operations Management, and a Business Management Capstone module.

You will help students understand how organisations operate, grow and respond to an increasingly complex and rapidly changing business environment. A key focus of the role will be helping students connect business management theory to practice, developing the critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making and entrepreneurial capabilities needed to navigate contemporary organisations.

You will also play an important role in ensuring that our curriculum remains current, academically rigorous and closely connected to industry practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, outcomes-based learning content aligned to module objectives.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive online learning sessions.
  • Design and set assessments that promote applied learning, critical thinking, problem-solving and sound business judgement.
  • Assess student performance through formative, summative and practical assessments.
  • Facilitate learning across areas including sustainable business practices, entrepreneurship, international business and operations management.
  • Support the delivery of a Business Management Capstone module that enables students to integrate and apply knowledge and skills developed across their qualification to complex, real-world business challenges.
  • Conduct internal moderation and contribute to the quality assurance of teaching materials and assessments.
  • Manage the development and review of learning materials within assigned modules.
  • Support students with academic and content-related queries.
  • Ensure assessment processes, marking and results meet required academic standards.
  • Recruit, support and manage part-time academic staff where required, including lecturers, markers, examiners, moderators and authors.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to ensure learning remains relevant to contemporary business and management practice.
  • Stay abreast of emerging business trends, technological developments, sustainability considerations and changes in the local and international business environment.
  • Collaborate closely with academic and administrative teams to support student engagement and success.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • A relevant master’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Operations Management, Sustainability or a closely related field.
  • Relevant professional or industry experience within business, management, entrepreneurship, operations or a related field.
  • A strong generalist understanding of contemporary business management, with the ability to work across multiple business disciplines.
  • Teaching experience in higher education or professional learning environments would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of sustainability and responsible business practice, entrepreneurship, international business and operations management would be advantageous.
  • Experience with applied, project-based or capstone learning would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with online learning technologies and platforms.
  • A passion for student engagement, applied learning and academic quality.
