The Role We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented assistant to support the day-to-day execution of our email marketing campaigns across multiple brands. This is primarily an execution and operations role, not a copywriting or strategy role. Your responsibility will be to ensure campaigns are loaded, checked, scheduled, and sent accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities • Load and schedule 7 Future Finance campaigns per week on ActiveCampaign / Iterable (free newsletter). • Load and schedule 5 paid newsletter campaigns per week on Beehiiv. • Assist with scheduling 1–2 daily email broadcasts for Decentralized Masters. • Upload provided copy, subject lines, preview text, images, and links. • Ensure campaigns are sent to the correct audience segments at the correct times. • Thoroughly QA emails before scheduling, including formatting, links, tracking, segmentation, and send settings. • Maintain campaign calendars and trackers. • Flag missing information, inconsistencies, or potential mistakes before campaigns go live. • Assist with last-minute scheduling changes when needed. • Schedule/segment SMS broadcasts as we roll out SMS campaigns Requirements Who You Are Attention to detail is the #1 priority for this role. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and can be trusted to execute accurately without constant supervision. Key qualities: • Excellent attention to detail: Catches mistakes in links, formatting, targeting, scheduling, Messaging (user experience), etc. • Ownership and good judgment: Doesn't blindly follow instructions. Proactively flags anything that looks incorrect or unusual and asks questions when needed. • Reliability: Consistently meets deadlines and ensures campaigns are ready on time. • Organization: Can manage multiple brands, campaigns, and schedules without letting things slip. • Ability to follow processes: Comfortable working with SOPs, checklists, and established workflows. • Proactive communication: Flags blockers early rather than waiting until the last minute. • Independent execution: Can take responsibility for recurring tasks after training. • Tech-savvy and trainable: Comfortable learning new software and picking up tools quickly. Experience Requirements Prior experience with email marketing platforms is NOT required. We're happy to train the right person. Experience with ActiveCampaign, Iterable, Beehiiv, or similar email marketing platforms is a plus, but what matters most is being detail-oriented, reliable, tech-savvy, and a fast learner. What You Won't Be Responsible For • Writing email copy or subject lines • Developing email marketing strategies • Creating offers or promotional campaigns All copy, creative assets, and campaign instructions will be provided by the marketing team. Your role is to ensure everything is executed correctly. Availability: Must be available and responsive between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) on working days to coordinate campaign scheduling, handle time-sensitive requests, and make any necessary adjustments. What Will You Be Doing? As a Junior Copywriter on our Renewals team, you'll write the words that keep our members engaged, informed, and excited to continue their journey with Decentralized Masters. You'll work closely with our Membership Directors and Renewals team to craft copy that re-engages members at renewal time and helps them see the ongoing value of their membership. • Renewal Campaigns: Write emails, SMS, and in-app messaging that drive membership renewals - from early reminders to last-chance offers. • Retention & Reoffer Copy: Partner with Membership Directors to write persuasive reoffer and downsell messaging for members considering leaving. • Member Storytelling: Turn member wins, testimonials, and success stories into compelling proof points that support renewal campaigns. • Lifecycle Content: Support broader renewal-lifecycle content, including one-pagers, landing pages, and follow-up sequences. • Testing & Iteration: A/B test subject lines, CTAs, and messaging angles, then use the results to sharpen future campaigns. • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside senior copywriters, marketers, and mentors to make sure every piece of copy sounds like Decentralized Masters and speaks directly to our members' goals. Requirements What You'll Bring • 1+ year of copywriting experience (agency, in-house, or freelance) with a portfolio that shows clear, persuasive writing - recent graduates with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply. • A genuine interest in finance, blockchain technology, and the democratization of financial services (crypto experience is a plus, not a requirement). • Strong writing fundamentals - grammar, clarity, and the ability to match tone across formats (email, SMS, web). • An eagerness to learn retention and lifecycle marketing copywriting, with curiosity about what makes people stay. • A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback - you'll work closely with mentors and senior copywriters who will help you grow fast. • Comfort managing multiple copy requests and deadlines in a fast-paced, remote environment. Your role In this position, you work alongside a collaborative team to drive new business in DACH, our largest and most developed market. You take ownership of the full sales cycle, from identifying new opportunities to closing deals and building lasting customer relationships, while working closely with colleagues in Sales, Marketing, and Product. Your responsibilities include: • Acquiring new utility customers across the DACH region and owning the full sales cycle: identifying relevant accounts, initiating contact, qualifying needs, preparing proposals, and closing, • Building a reliable pipeline through systematic outreach to Stadtwerke as well as regional and national energy suppliers, complemented by inbound leads from our marketing activities, • Developing proposals and business cases that hold up in front of commercial, technical and management stakeholders at an energy company, • Guiding the multi-stakeholder decision processes typical of utilities, from product and innovation managers through IT and billing to the executive level, • Contributing to how we position ourselves in DACH, including pricing arguments, messaging and market feedback, together with Marketing and Product, • Representing exnaton at industry events, trade fairs and customer meetings in the region, • Documenting your pipeline in the CRM so that forecasts and account knowledge remain reliable for the whole team. For this position, we are looking for someone with: • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, economics, or energy-related studies, and/or relevant experience, • A substantial track record in B2B sales or business development in the energy industry, including negotiation responsibility for complex software or service deals with utilities, • Well-founded knowledge of the energy market. The role of an energy supplier is familiar to you, as are distribution system operators (Verteilnetzbetreiber) and metering point operators (Messstellenbetreiber), and you follow developments such as the smart meter rollout, dynamic tariffs, energy sharing and flexibility, • An established network in the DACH energy sector, or a clear idea of how to build one, • The independence to set your own priorities, structure your market approach and take accountability for the targets attached to it, • A consultative approach. You understand different customer and stakeholder perspectives, recognize what a client actually needs, and think in solutions, • Confident written and verbal communication with technical and commercial audiences alike, • An interest in digitalization and software topics, and routine use of a CRM, • Fluent German and English. Both are a requirement for this role; further languages are welcome.
