Product Owner – Corporate Finance Technology

As a Product Owner, you Drive the digital transformation of corporate finance by turning complex finance requirements into automated, reliable, and data-driven solutions that improve reporting, compliance, and business decision-making.

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for corporate finance platforms, transforming manual accounting and reporting processes into automated, scalable solutions.
• Translate finance and business needs into clear requirements , user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs for Agile engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Finance and Technology teams , including Corporate Controllers, FP&A, Tax, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Risk, and Internal Audit.
• Drive financial data integration and harmonization across ERP systems such as SAP ERP and Oracle Cloud ERP.
• Ensure compliance and data quality across financial reporting solutions, following GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and relevant regional regulations.
• Lead UAT and data validation , including reconciliation and release readiness, to ensure financial data is accurate and consistent.
• Partner with Data and Technology teams on data models, APIs, data pipelines, governance, and reporting solutions using Power BI or Tableau.
• Prioritize product initiatives and delivery , balancing regulatory requirements, business value, technical debt, dependencies, and timelines.
• 8+ years of experience as an Agile Product Owner or Product Manager , ideally within Corporate Finance, Accounting, FinTech, Treasury, or financial technology.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, and financial data , with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Proven experience managing product vision, roadmaps, backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Hands-on understanding of financial data integration , including SQL, APIs, data models, data pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP ERP or Oracle Cloud ERP , as well as reporting and BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau .
• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and financial data governance , with experience supporting compliance, audit, or regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience leading UAT, data validation, reconciliation, and release readiness for business-critical financial solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field ; an MBA or Agile certification (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM) is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills , with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Data, Engineering, and Architecture teams.
• Fluent German and English , with the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
