We are looking for a Strategic Innovation Analyst to join our Strategic Innovation Services (SIS) team in Italy. You will work on innovation projects for private organisations and European research and innovation initiatives, exploring new markets, technologies and ecosystems and translating complex information into clear, actionable insights.

Your mission (What are you going to do in text) summarised down below

Your mission will be to help our clients and project partners understand emerging technologies, markets and innovation opportunities. Through rigorous research and analysis, you will identify relevant evidence, uncover patterns and transform complex information into high-quality strategic outputs.
As you grow in the role, you will progressively gain exposure to innovation strategy, exploitation, business modelling, European project proposals and client-facing activities.

Your tasks 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on markets, technologies, competitors, organisations, ecosystems, policies and emerging trends.
  • Perform market and competitor analysis, technology intelligence and scouting, and ecosystem mapping to identify relevant patterns and strategic implications.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, market studies, technology assessments and other analytical deliverables.
  • Assess innovative technologies, solutions and research results, exploring their potential applications, markets, stakeholders and routes to adoption.

Your tasks 2nd part (In max 4 bullets)

  • Support innovation strategy, exploitation, business modelling, market uptake and commercialisation activities.
  • Contribute to client and stakeholder activities, including interviews, workshops and presentations.
  • Collaborate with international and cross-functional teams and contribute to European research and innovation project proposals.
  • Manage your assigned activities and deadlines, ensuring accurate, high-quality and timely delivery.

Your profile 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

  • You have at least 2 years of professional experience in market research, innovation analysis, technology scouting, business analysis, research, consulting or a related field.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Innovation Management, Social Sciences or another relevant discipline.
  • You have strong research and analytical skills, with experience in areas such as market analysis, technology intelligence, competitor analysis or ecosystem mapping.
  • You can structure and synthesise qualitative and quantitative information and turn evidence into clear insights and conclusions.

Your Profile 2nd part (In max 4 bullets)

  • You communicate clearly and professionally in both Italian and English, verbally and in writing.
  • You are comfortable producing well-structured reports and presentations and have strong attention to detail.
  • You can manage different activities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Experience with European R&I programmes such as Horizon Europe, LIFE or Digital Europe, innovation strategy, exploitation, business modelling, commercialisation, emerging technologies or stakeholder engagement is considered an advantage.

Why us? (What do we offer) 1st part (in max 4 bullets)

  • Join an international innovation group with more than 600 professionals across Europe.
  • Work on real innovation challenges involving different technologies, industries, markets and emerging trends.
  • Combine private-sector innovation projects with exposure to European research and innovation initiatives.
  • Develop hands-on expertise in market and technology intelligence, strategic analysis, innovation ecosystems and emerging technology assessment.

Why us? (What do we offer) 2nd part (in max 4 bullets)

  • Grow progressively into innovation strategy, exploitation, business modelling and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Work with international, multidisciplinary teams and build a broad European innovation perspective.
  • Benefit from a permanent full-time contract, ticket restaurants, medical insurance and access to training platforms.
  • Enjoy a flexible smart-working policy designed to support autonomy and work-life balance.
