About the role
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise integrations. This role will partner with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and operations teams to build scalable, secure, and reusable APIs and integrations that enable critical business processes across the ShipStation Global ecosystem.
This role is based in Madrid, Spain
What you'll be doing?
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain integrations.
- Build and support API-led connectivity solutions utilizing System, Process, and Experience APIs.
- Develop integrations utilizing REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, EDI, XML, JSON, flat files, and database technologies.
- Implement event-driven and asynchronous integration patterns using messaging technologies.
- Collaborate with architects and technical leads to define integration standards, best practices, and reference architectures.
- Participate in requirements gathering and technical design sessions with business and technology teams.
- Develop and maintain DataWeave transformations for data mapping and orchestration.
- Troubleshoot production integration issues and participate in root cause analysis activities.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Monitor and optimize integration performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Conduct peer code reviews and ensure compliance with development standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and operational runbooks.
- Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to ensure secure integration implementations.
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years of software development experience and 2+ years of experience developing integrations.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and web services, API design and API lifecycle management.
- Experience implementing integrations using XML, JSON, XSD, and DataWeave.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Experience integrating cloud applications.
- Experience with Git-based source control systems.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English
- Ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Commitment to continuous learning and technical excellence
What will make you stand out?
- MuleSoft Developer Certification (Mule 4).
- MuleSoft Integration Architect certification.
- Experience with AWS, S3, and SQS or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with EDI transactions and B2B integrations.
- Experience with Salesforce, ERP, CRM, TMS, or transportation/logistics systems.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale integration platforms.

Clear and transparent compensation plan. The salary range goes from 40,000 € to 50,000 € . We will discuss the indicated range with you in the first recruiting call to ensure that we are on the same page.
