Overview:
As a Senior Network Operations Engineer - DevOps (Network & Cloud) , you will be a key technical contributor responsible for designing, implementing, and operating highly available network infrastructure across LivePerson’s hybrid environments.
You will bridge traditional networking, cloud infrastructure, and automation practices, helping evolve our global platform across on-premises data centers and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
The role requires strong networking expertise combined with DevOps mindset — automating infrastructure, improving reliability, troubleshooting complex connectivity challenges, and partnering with engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
You will:
- Design, build, and maintain highly available global network infrastructure across on-premises and GCP environments.
- Implement and support cloud networking solutions including VPCs, Cloud Router, VPN, Load Balancing, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
- Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and engineering teams throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.
- Automate network and infrastructure operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Develop automation solutions using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Troubleshoot complex network, connectivity, performance, and interoperability issues across distributed systems.
- Support network security implementations including firewall policies and access controls.
- Improve monitoring, operational efficiency, and incident response processes.
- Participate in a 24x7 operational environment and help reduce MTTR through automation and proactive improvements.
You have:
- 7+ years of experience in Network Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Strong experience with enterprise networking technologies:
- LAN/WAN
- TCP/IP
- BGP and routing protocols
- Firewalls
- VPNs
- Load Balancing
- DNS
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking, including VPC, Cloud Router, VPN, Load Balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and modern infrastructure delivery practices.
- Experience troubleshooting Linux-based systems and distributed applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multiple engineering teams.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Experience with Docker and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, or similar.
- Cloud security experience and knowledge of IAM concepts.
- CCNA / CCNP or equivalent networking certifications.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical improvements.
