Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Network Automation / NOC Engineer to join a global infrastructure team supporting latency-sensitive trading workloads.

This is a great opportunity for a network engineer with 2–3 years of experience who wants to grow beyond traditional NOC work and develop deeper skills in network automation, cloud infrastructure, and data center networking.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and get hands-on exposure to Arista, FortiGate, pfSense, BGP, VPLS/eVPN, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Git.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Monitor and support global network connectivity across data centers, offices, cloud providers, and private network links.
  • Troubleshoot routing, switching, firewall, and connectivity issues across first- and second-line support.
  • Manage firewall ACL changes, NAT rules, VPN checks, and basic firewall administration.
  • Provision and maintain VLANs and cross-connects on Arista switches.
  • Coordinate network turn-ups, moves, adds, and changes with data center providers and clients.
  • Configure monitoring dashboards, alerts, and network health checks.
  • Support network maintenance, firmware updates, and patching.
  • Maintain clear and accurate network and firewall documentation.
  • Help build CI/CD practices for network configuration using Git and similar tools.
  • Contribute to network automation and scripting using Python, Ansible, Terraform, and other tools.
  • Work with senior engineers to automate repetitive network operations and gradually take on more complex engineering tasks.

TECH STACK

Networking: BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPLS/eVPN, MPLS/VXLAN
Switching: Arista, Cisco or similar
Firewalls: FortiGate, pfSense
Automation: Python, Ansible, Terraform
Infrastructure: Data Centers, Cloud Networking, SDN
Tools: Git, CLI, logs, packet captures

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2–3 years of experience in network engineering, network operations, or NOC support.
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major networking vendor such as Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, or similar.
  • Experience supporting or administering firewalls.
  • Understanding of ACLs and experience working within structured change-control processes.
  • Experience with VLANs, interfaces, trunks, and data center switching.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation — Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where network availability directly impacts clients.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical teams and external clients.

NICE TO HAVE

These skills aren’t mandatory, but they’ll make your profile stand out:

  • CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge
  • FreeBSD or other Unix/Linux experience
  • AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking
  • VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies
  • Experience with Precision Time Protocol (PTP) or low-latency infrastructure
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 or other security/compliance frameworks

WHY THIS ROLE?

This isn’t just a traditional NOC position. You’ll have the opportunity to work with real-world data center infrastructure supporting global financial markets, while building automation skills and progressing toward a more senior network engineering role.

If you’re a networking professional who enjoys troubleshooting, wants to learn automation, and is excited by high-performance infrastructure, this could be a great next step.
