Job description
IT Security Engineer (m/w/d)
As an IT Security Engineer, you will contribute to the protection and continuous improvement of Vusion's
IT environment, with a primary focus on Security Operations & Incident Response and Identity & Access
Management.
You will investigate security incidents and tickets escalated by the SOC, coordinate remediation with the
relevant technical teams, and contribute to strengthening identity and access controls across the
organization.
You will also act as the local security point of contact for the Austria site, working closely with local IT
and business teams while maintaining strong alignment with the headquarters cybersecurity team. This
will give you a key role in supporting local security needs, coordinating security topics, and ensuring that
corporate security standards are effectively applied on site.
We are looking for a versatile security engineer with strong technical foundations and a genuine interest
in Identity Security. The role will allow you to progressively develop deeper expertise in this area and
become a key technical point of contact for Identity & Access Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations & Incident Response
- Review and analyze security incidents and tickets escalated by the SOC using evidence from SIEM, EDR, identity, endpoint, network and cloud security solutions.
- Perform technical investigations to determine the root cause, scope and potential impact of security incidents.
- Investigate suspicious authentication activity, identity compromise, malicious endpoint behavior and network anomalies.
- Coordinate containment, remediation and recovery actions with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Digital Workplace and Application teams.
- Document investigations, remediation actions and lessons learned to ensure effective follow-up and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of incident response procedures, SOC use cases and detection capabilities.
Identity & Access Management
- Contribute to the security and continuous improvement of Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory environments.
- Support and improve identity lifecycle processes, including Joiner, Mover and Leaver activities.
- Implement and maintain authentication and access controls such as Multi-Factor Authentication,
- Conditional Access and passwordless authentication.
- Support Privileged Identity Management (PIM), privileged access controls and the application of least privilege principles.
- Participate in Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations and application onboarding using SAML, OAuth 2.0 and
- OpenID Connect.
- Contribute to access reviews, identity governance and the secure management of privileged and sensitive access.
- Develop deeper expertise in Identity Security and progressively become a technical point of reference for this domain
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in IT Security, Identity & Access Management or Security Engineering.
- Hands-on experience investigating security incidents using SIEM, EDR, identity, endpoint, network and infrastructure logs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, with a strong interest in Identity & Access Management and Identity Security.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalling, VPNs, proxies and network segmentation.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments and their main security mechanisms.
- Knowledge of authentication and federation technologies, including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and Kerberos.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security technologies is highly value
- Ability to troubleshoot security issues across identity, endpoint, system, network and cloud layers.
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Microsoft SC-300 Identity and Access Administrator Associate
