ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly systematic Head of Product to launch a new D2C subscription product in the consumer privacy and security space and build it into a category leader. You will work on a single product and be fully responsible for taking it from zero to one - market research, MVP definition, execution with the team, the acquisition funnel, and the end-to-end product experience - owning the product roadmap and working directly with the Managing Director.

You will own the full product lifecycle, from roadmap through to delivery, working hand-in-hand with engineering, UI design, data, and marketing - with AI tooling as a core part of your workflow. The bar is high and so is the upside - performance here is directly and significantly rewarded, and strong operators take on bigger scope fast.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Research & Competitive Intelligence: Own deep market, competitor, and audience research. Define the positioning, offer, and pricing hypothesis the product launches with, and keep monitoring the landscape post-launch to differentiate and maintain a sharp product edge.
  • MVP Definition & Launch: Own the MVP end to end - scope, build plan, quality bar, and go-live readiness.
  • Execution with the Team: Partner directly and daily with engineering. Write clear, technically rigorous requirements and specifications, participate in sprint planning and technical trade-off decisions, keep delivery fast and predictable.
  • Acquisition Funnel: Build a high-converting acquisition funnel end to end - structure, copy, offer, and onboarding - working with acquisition, CRO, and marketing to align it with traffic and messaging.
  • UI/UX & User Journey Ownership: Own the end-to-end user journey and its quality standards. Make critical UI/UX decisions, ensuring a cohesive, intuitive, high-converting experience across every module.
  • Research & Data-Driven Decisions: Conduct continuous discovery with target users. Define product metrics, instrument analytics from day one, and turn qualitative and quantitative insights into well-scoped decisions and structured experiments.
  • Monetisation & Retention Growth: Post-launch, own conversion, ARPU (D7/D30), and retention. Drive pricing and packaging experiments, build engagement loops, and act on drop-off points surfaced in cohort analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Product Management: 5+ years in product management for D2C subscription products (web-to-web, web-to-app), including 2+ years in a senior or lead PM role.
  • Zero-to-One: Track record launching a consumer subscription product from zero to live, with measurable post-launch results.
  • User Journey & Quality: Deep understanding of consumer user journeys and of how to build a high-converting interface that feels native to the user.
  • Technical Fluency: Reads code and understands system architecture and infrastructure well enough to dig into any technical detail, hold substantive discussions with engineers, and help choose the most stable solutions.
  • Monetisation & Retention: Proven track record growing ARPU and retention with measurable revenue outcomes.
  • Analytics: Proficiency with product and financial analytics tools and data (e.g. Mixpanel, Tableau) to define funnels, track feature adoption, and surface actionable insights.
  • Experimentation: Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, feature flags, and rollout strategies.
  • AI Tooling: Active daily use of AI tools (Claude or equivalent) to accelerate concept, analysis, and prototype work.
  • Digital Advertising: Exposure to the digital advertising ecosystem (Meta Ads, Google Ads) is a bonus.

LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES

  • Ownership mentality - treats the product as their own: leads, proposes, and drives priorities
  • Results over effort - measures the team by shipped outcomes and moved metrics, and expects to be measured the same way
  • Bias for action - makes sound decisions quickly, pushes through blockers, and gets to the result
  • Structured and analytical - breaks ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses and testable solutions; conclusions are supported by data.
  • Builder's ambition - comfortable creating where nothing exists yet and set on building a category leader
  • High standards - cares deeply about quality in UX, specs, and outcomes; pushes back constructively when something isn't right
  • Communicates with clarity - simplifies complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders and gives developers precise technical context
