Acclaro is currently recruiting up to 2 Creative Marketing Translators & Transcreators (English > Spanish (El Salvador)) to support ongoing marketing, entertainment, and multimedia localization projects for an active global client.

This remote freelance opportunity is open to experienced linguists who have an exceptional command of Spanish as used in El Salvador and the creativity to adapt marketing, entertainment, and multimedia content for Salvadoran audiences.

You will help global brands deliver engaging, culturally relevant content while preserving their voice, creative intent, and marketing impact.

Position Overview

• Compensation: This is a paid freelance opportunity. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's proposed rates and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Translate and creatively adapt marketing, entertainment and multimedia content to engage and resonate with local audiences.
• Work collaboratively with internal and linguistic teams to ensure high quality output across various platforms.
• Conduct research to understand cultural nuances, ensuring that translations are not just literal but culturally relevant.
• Review and provide feedback on marketing projects to contribute to their success.

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Spanish for El Salvador and a strong understanding of Salvadoran culture, consumer behavior, and marketing communication styles.
• Proven experience of 3 or more years in translation and transcreation , preferably in a marketing context.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Marketing, Linguistics, or a related field .
• Strong understanding of marketing principles and the ability to adapt tone and style to fit various brand guidelines; experience with entertainment or global brand content is a plus.
• Experience translating or transcreating multimedia entertainment content, including TV series and movie synopses, title localization, PR, and other creative content related to TV and movie entertainment, is a plus.
• Experience with CAT tools is a plus.

Application Process

• One-way video interview , taking approximately 15 to 20 minutes , which candidates can complete at a convenient time within the specified deadline
• Translation and transcreation assessment to evaluate the linguistic, creative, and cultural skills required for the project
• Secure identity verification for candidates selected for the project
• Onboarding to Acclaro’s systems, followed by project-specific training and onboarding

Successful completion of each stage is required to be considered for a freelance engagement. All personal information is handled securely for recruitment, contracting, and compliance purposes.
