Behind every great game stands an inspiring world and striking visuals and our Art team plays a key role in making this possible. We’re looking for a talented 2D Artist to help shape the visual identity of our current and upcoming projects, creating art that captivates and excites players around the globe.

Your role:

As part of our Art Department, you will create high-quality 2D assets and visual concepts that define the look and feel of our games. You will work closely with Art Directors, Technical Artists, Game Designers, and other artists to bring environments, characters, and UI elements to life. Your work will ensure that our games are visually cohesive and memorable.

The kind of stuff you`ll be doing:

  • Designing and creating high-quality 2D artwork such as concept art, character designs, environment illustrations, icons, and textures
  • Collaborating with Art Directors, Game Designers and Technical Artists to define and maintain the artistic vision of the project and ensure solid integrations
  • Creating mood boards, style guides, and paint-overs to support visual development
  • Designing and creating UI/UX mockups to shape the interaction layer of a game and produce the related UI graphics
  • Working with the 3D and Tech Art teams to ensure seamless integration of 2D assets into the game engine
  • Iterating on feedback and adapting designs to gameplay needs and technical constraints
  • Preparing promotional artwork, key art, and marketing materials when needed
  • Create beautifications and concept art for presentations of new game ideas and pitches

Who are we looking for:

A creative and detail-oriented artist with a strong sense of visual storytelling and game aesthetics. You thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate effectively, and can adapt your style to different projects. You understand the purpose of your creations in the context of an interactive, narrative game product. You are passionate about games and eager to translate ideas into compelling visuals.

Main responsibilities

  • Creation of high-quality 2D art assets and concept art for characters, environments, and UI
  • Maintaining a consistent visual style across all 2D elements
  • Supporting the development of mood boards and visual direction
  • Close collaboration with the Art and Design teams to ensure the game’s artistic goals are met
  • Preparing artwork for both in-game use and external marketing materials
  • Working on presenting new game ideas and pitches

The ideal candidate also has one more of the following:

  • Experience creating key art or promotional illustrations for games
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and the ability to create user-friendly interfaces on different platforms and with different inputs
  • Familiarity with 3D workflows or basic 3D modeling/lighting knowledge to support concepting
  • Understanding of game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine) and their requirements for 2D assets

Your Profile

  • Degree in Art, Design, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of 2D art styles and concept art
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar
  • Strong understanding of color, composition, and visual storytelling
  • Good communication skills in English (German is a plus)
  • A structured, proactive, and team-oriented way of working
