Job description

At Klim, we work with farmers and food companies to make regenerative agriculture scalable and financially rewarding for farmers. Through our platform, we help farmers restore soil health, increase biodiversity and capture carbon while creating new, reliable income streams.

We’re a Berlin-based AgriTech startup backed by $22M in Series A funding, partnering with global food leaders such as Nestlé and Kaufland to reduce emissions across their supply chains and build long-term resilience. Since 2020, we’ve supported 3,500 farmers managing over 900,000 hectares.

If you’re passionate about building a sustainable food system and driving real climate impact, join us and help create a healthier planet!

Your mission:

You own the day-to-day agronomic knowledge needs across Klim’s teams and farmer-facing work. You contribute to the development of digital agronomist products by translating agronomic knowledge, farmer feedback, and research on regenerative arable farming in temperate climates into practical solutions for internal teams and farmers.

Your responsibilities:

1. Internal agronomic support & content quality

  • Provide practical agronomic expertise to Product, Farmer Success, Sales, Data, Remote Sensing, and Marketing teams.
  • Advise on customer- and farmer-specific agronomic questions and use cases.
  • Review and maintain farmer-facing content, recommendations, guidance, and claims for agronomic accuracy and clarity.
  • Translate agronomic concepts into clear and actionable communication for non-agronomists.

2. Research, knowledge management & data

  • Conduct research, literature reviews, knowledge management, and maintenance of agronomic datasets.
  • Analyze and contextualize farmer feedback to inform product development and agronomic priorities.
  • Evaluate agronomic data sources, including remote-sensing outputs, from a practical farming perspective.

3. Product validation & expansion

  • Validate digital agronomy features through farmer feedback, test cases, and quality checks.
  • Collect and maintain agronomic data used in digital products.
  • Review English and German agronomic copy and translations.
  • Contribute to expansion into new markets by researching farming systems, practices, and conditions across geographies and climate zones.

Your profile:

Agronomic experience & knowledge

  • You have a strong academic foundation in agricultural sciences, agronomy, regenerative agriculture, farm management, or a related field.
  • You have a good understanding of arable farming systems in temperate climates and a strong interest in regenerative agriculture.
  • You have gained practical farming exposure through farm internships, fieldwork, advisory roles, farm work, or a farming background.
  • You have an intermediate understanding of regenerative agriculture and are motivated to deepen your expertise.

Skills & mindset

  • You are curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working across disciplines and topics outside your core expertise.
  • You can explain agronomic concepts clearly to non-agronomists.
  • You have a strong interest in digital agriculture and the intersection of agronomy, data, and technology.
  • You are comfortable with research, documentation, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • You are comfortable using AI tools to increase efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.

Languages

  • You are fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.

Your benefits:

  • Opportunity: Be part of our journey from the very beginning, working on an equal footing with the leadership team to build a new company.
  • Impact: Make a daily and active contribution to combating climate change, promoting consumer education, and fostering fair conditions for our climate-conscious farmers.
  • Autonomy: Take ownership of your projects and enjoy a high degree of creative freedom.
  • Flexible work model: At Klim, we foster a flexible, hybrid work approach and facilitate remote work (within the EU). It is advantageous for this role if you live in Berlin or can be present in our office regularly.
  • Additional benefits for Germany-based employees: We offer a subsidy for a membership in Urban Sports Club or the Deutschlandticket, a company pension scheme, plus team lunches (if based in Berlin) and regular team events.

At Klim, we believe that a thriving workplace is built on the diverse backgrounds, talents, and perspectives of our team. We grow stronger together by embracing and building on each individual’s unique strengths.

We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. All hiring and personnel decisions are made solely based on qualifications, performance, and the needs of the company - ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for all.
