Head of Data

As Head of Data, you'll have the opportunity to shape this journey by defining our data strategy and technical vision, growing our Data capability and enabling teams across the company to build scalable, AI-powered products at one of Europe's leading creator economy companies.

• Define and evolve our Data strategy together with the VP Tech & Data.
• Own and develop our data architecture, data platform and the data capabilities that power our AI products.
• Establish data governance, quality standards and a trusted single source of truth for reporting and analytics.
• Drive best practices across Data Engineering, Analytics and AI Engineering.
• Provide technical leadership for the design and evolution of modern AI solutions, including RAG pipelines, vector databases, semantic search and LLM-powered applications.
• Build, mentor and grow a high-performing Data team.
• Support hiring, onboarding and professional development initiatives.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data capabilities.
• Enable self-service analytics and AI-powered access to insights across the organization.
• Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to the VP Tech & Data.
• Experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Architecture, AI Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and scaling modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience with modern cloud data stacks (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery or similar) and BI platforms is a plus.
• Previous leadership experience through team management, mentoring, project leadership or technical ownership.
• Strong understanding of Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Governance and modern AI technologies.
• Hands-on experience with, or a strong interest in, LLMs, RAG, vector databases and AI-driven products.
• Experience in digital media, the creator economy, influencer marketing, social media analytics or marketing technology is highly desirable.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
