Job description

About 7taps

7taps is a training delivery platform built for the way people actually absorb information: short, sharp, and on-the-go. Enterprise teams use it to reach their whole workforce and prove the training got done. Its customers are major enterprises like Amazon and Tesla: organizations where people need to learn something, retain it, and actually apply it.

The product started as a simple flashcard tool and has evolved into a full infrastructure layer for corporate training: multi-channel delivery (SMS, WhatsApp, Teams, Slack, email, QR), course creation, and completion analytics that show exactly who finished, without forcing anyone to log in.

The design team is small and strong. You'd be the fourth designer, embedded directly in the product process.

The platform is web-only, and the design problem is two-sided. On one side, admins running campaigns for tens of thousands of employees, with bulk operations and permissions where one wrong click matters. On the other, the people taking those courses. They're at office desks, on warehouse floors, out in the field. Some live in software all day, some barely touch it. Both sides have to work.

What you are expected to do:

  • Own product design end-to-end: from early concept to shipped feature with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Design systems and flows: coherent product architecture across a complex multi-sided platform (course creators, learners, admins, analytics).
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and the broader team to define and validate product hypotheses.
  • Work within an existing design system and help it evolve.
  • Move fast: the team pivots frequently, tests hypotheses fast, and discards what doesn't work — you'll be part of that rhythm.
  • Communicate your thinking clearly in synchronous settings: be the person in the call who can sketch a solution on the fly, take feedback, and iterate immediately.

What you need to succeed:

  • You think in systems and design coherent experiences, finding the shortest path to the right structure.
  • You drive tasks to completion on your own, without hand-holding.
  • You communicate ideas and trade-offs clearly, so non-designers can follow your thinking.
  • You thrive in a fast hypothesis-test-discard cadence and stay steady when work gets shelved.
  • You have real enterprise B2B intuition: bulk operations, safeguards, admin workflows, and permissions, where one wrong click can affect 50,000 employees.
  • Your visual craft is solid enough to work within the existing design system.
  • You speak Russian; English is a plus.

What you get:

  • Real ownership — a small design team means your decisions actually shape the product, not just a corner of it.
  • Enterprise-scale impact — your work reaches thousands of learners through major corporate clients in the USA.
  • Focused, talented team — no layers, no politics. Direct collaboration with a design lead who has been building this product from day one.
  • AI-native environment — tools like Claude are part of the daily workflow, not a novelty or a side experiment.
  • International context — the market is the US and the team is mixed and international. You'll get real cross-cultural, global product experience.

"7taps is doing something genuinely interesting — micro-learning that enterprise teams actually adopt and use at scale. The design challenge here is real: building systems that work for both the people creating the training and the people receiving it. For a designer who thinks in systems and wants real product ownership in a lean, smart team, this is a rare fit."
