Job description
The AI orchestration of your wildest imagination.
n8n is the open workflow orchestration platform built for the new era of AI. We give technical teams the freedom of code with the speed of no-code, so they can automate faster, smarter, and without limits. Backed by a fiercely inventive community and 500+ builder-approved integrations, we’re changing the way people bring systems together and scale ideas for impact.
Since our founding in 2019, we’ve grown into a diverse team of over 260 - working across Europe and the US, connected by a shared builder spirit and with our centre of gravity in Berlin. Along the way, we’ve:
- Cultivated a community of more than 650,000 active developers and builders
- Earned 190K+ GitHub stars, making us one of the world’s Top 40 most popular projects
- Backed by top investors, from Sequoia’s first German seed to our SAP's recent strategic investment - bringing us to a $5.2bn valuation
That’s the company we’ve built. Now we’d love to see what you can build. If you’re applying, try n8n out - whether you’re technical or not - and share a screenshot of your first workflow with us. The easiest place to start is here: app.n8n.cloud/register http://app.n8n.cloud/register.
We’re in a defining moment of an incredible journey. Come and build with us.
Your main goal will be to own the forward-looking financial plan for n8n’s commercial engine and help Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships make sharper, data-driven investment decisions.
To make that happen, you’ll co-own the GTM plan, turn commercial strategy into actionable financial insight, and build the models and operating rhythms that support n8n’s next stage of growth:
DRIVE GTM PLANNING AND FORECASTING
- Lead n8n’s annual planning and regular forecasting process for GTM, from top-down target setting and cross-functional alignment through to consolidation into the company plan.
- Build and maintain an integrated sales-led top-line model that reflects the evolving strategies of Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships.
- Partner with other FP&A Managers and Controlling to ensure the company’s forward plan and actual performance are connected, consistent, and interpreted with rigor.
MODEL COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE
- Model pipeline health, sales dynamics, funnel economics, and enterprise sales performance to help leadership understand the drivers behind growth.
- Translate key growth levers such as pipeline generation, conversion, and ACV into clear financial impact and investment trade-offs.
- Support pricing and packaging analysis, including the impact of commercial decisions on revenue and margin.
PARTNER WITH GTM LEADERSHIP
- Own the financial partnership with GTM budget owners, helping them right-size investment and make informed decisions before committing resources.
- Define the KPIs, reporting cadence, and frameworks that improve decision-making, including a consistent approach to marketing ROI, CAC, conversion, and marketing-sourced bookings.
- Present clear, concise recommendations to Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and executive leadership, including board-level audiences when required.
STRENGTHEN GTM FINANCE OPERATIONS
- Partner with RevOps on capacity planning, funnel performance, and the financial implications of GTM strategy.
- Work with Data and Controlling to turn GTM financial reporting into tangible insight and recommendations rather than simply explaining variances.
- Partner with RevOps and Controlling to forecast sales commission expense as part of the overall GTM budget.
- Use AI and automation to create repeatable, scalable planning and reporting workflows that reflect how an automation company should operate.
