Job description
The AI Go-to-Market Automotive Lead is a growth leader responsible for driving cutting-edge AI market development and revenue expansion across the global Automotive industry portfolio – all regions, all accounts – aligned to enterprise AI strategy. This role combines executive engagement, opportunity shaping, and strategic positioning of next‑generation AI solutions, while serving as a visible voice on AI innovation and transformation for clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the AI go-to-market strategy for the Global Automotive Vertical, including mega accounts such as BMW, Volkswagen Group, Mercedes-Benz Group / Daimler Truck, and Toyota.
- Build and maintain C-level and senior executive relationships.
- Identify, qualify, and shape AI transformation opportunities aligned to industry and account priorities – from lighthouse engagements to AI-native transformation programs.
- Translate industry challenges into compelling AI business cases and value propositions.
- Partner with Client Partners, Sales, and Industry Leaders to originate and close AI engagements.
- Lead executive-level presales efforts and proposal positioning.
- Lead the Global Automotive AI GTM core team across presales and solution consulting, offering incubation, content development, and marketing and analyst relations.
- Incubate new offerings and commercial models (e.g., agentic AI, Service-as-Software, co-innovation) and leverage technology partnerships (OpenAI, hyperscalers, ERP solution providers) as channels to market.
- Serve as a visible AI thought leader toward clients, analysts, and media through conferences, analyst briefings, and executive engagements.
- Drive AI pipeline growth and revenue performance.
- Ensure responsible AI principles (security, governance, transparency, human oversight) are embedded in opportunity framing.
- Operate effectively within a matrixed leadership structure.
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of professional experience in consulting, professional services, and/or industry roles, including experience in a client-facing consulting or professional services environment, with progressive leadership responsibility (e.g., people leadership, program leadership, or account leadership).
- At least 5 years of experience leading or co leading AI, data, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives, including a minimum of 2 years of experience working with Generative AI solutions (e.g., large language models, AI agents, or GenAI enabled applications).
- At least 5 years of professional experience within at least one industry vertical (Insurance, Banking, Manufacturing & Commercial, Automotive, Healthcare & Life Sciences, or Public Sector), demonstrated through client delivery, account ownership, or solution leadership.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting or leading presales activities, such as opportunity identification, solution shaping, proposal development, or executive level deal reviews, in partnership with sales or delivery teams.
- Fluency in German and English, with experience leading cross-cultural teams across the DACH region and broader Europe.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience developing and executing GTM strategies.
- Deep understanding of GenAI technologies, agentic AI architectures, ML, and NLP.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Senior-level experience leading AI, data, or digital transformation initiatives within the Automotive industry on a global scale.
- Proven track record of commercializing advanced technology solutions and driving growth.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.
- Experience establishing AI governance and responsible AI frameworks at enterprise clients.
- Experience leading globally distributed, cross-cultural teams across EU, Americas, and APAC.
