Data Products, BI & Enablement Manager

This role is a 9-month maternity leave cover , offering the opportunity to step into a senior leadership position at a key moment in Salomon’s Data journey.

As our Data Products, BI & Enablement Manager , you will lead Salomon's Data transformation and turn it into measurable business value, better decisions, made faster, across every function of the company.

Your scope brings together three complementary areas of expertise, enterprise BI, Data Product Management, and Data Enablement, covering how Salomon builds analytics solutions, manages them as products, and equips business teams to use them. You set the direction, decide where to invest, and are accountable for the value actually created for the organization, not the volume delivered.

Define the strategy

• Define the multi-year Data Products vision and roadmap, aligned with Salomon's business priorities and long-term ambitions
• Decide where to play: which domains to invest in, which capabilities to build in-house versus buy or outsource, and what to consciously deprioritize
• Drive the Data / AI agenda, how AI reshapes what we build and how business teams work with data, and the governance this requires, in partnership with the Manager Data & AI Platform and the Senior Manager Data Governance
• Anticipate and lead the operating model changes required as self-service scales and AI matures

Build and grow the team

• Directly manage, coach and develop the BI Lead, the Data Enablement Lead and the Senior Data / AI Product Manager, each heading their own team
• Set clear objectives, standards and accountability across the three functions, building a shared team identity
• Design the target organization: team structure, role scope, hiring plan and career paths to retain scarce data talent

Arbitrate the data portfolio

• Own the decision on how incoming business requests are routed: enterprise BI, self-service, or a managed data / AI product
• Allocate capacity and budget, and defend those trade-offs to senior stakeholders
• Challenge incoming demand against expected business value, so investment goes where impact is highest, not where demand is loudest
• Act as the final escalation point for prioritization conflicts across domains

Be a true business partner

• Be the go-to contact for business leaders on any data product request
• Build the business cases that secure investment, and own the budget and vendor relationships within the scope
• Make Data a permanent part of how functions plan and steer, not a service called in after the fact
• Partner closely with the rest of the Data & Analytics leadership (Senior Manager Data & AI Platform and Data Governance Manager) to ensure solutions are built on reliable, well-governed foundations

Demonstrate and grow the value

• Define the KPIs that matter across the three functions, holding the organization accountable for outcomes rather than outputs
• Drive the company-wide data culture agenda, making data literacy a shared standard rather than a specialist skill
• Map the key data & AI skills needed across business functions, assess maturity and identify gaps holding back value creation
• Define and sponsor the corresponding training plans and learning journeys for the BI/Analytics community, in close collaboration with HR, and measure their impact on the ground

Vous donnez le cap, décidez des investissements et êtes garant(e) de la valeur réellement créée pour l'organisation, et non du volume livré.

Définir la stratégie

• Définir la vision et la roadmap pluriannuelle Data Products, en cohérence avec les priorités métier et les ambitions long terme de Salomon
• Décider des terrains de jeu : les domaines dans lesquels investir, les capacités à internaliser plutôt qu'à acheter ou externaliser, et ce que nous dépriorisons consciemment
• Porter l'agenda Data / IA : comment l'IA transforme ce que nous construisons et la façon dont les équipes métier travaillent avec la donnée, ainsi que la gouvernance que cela impose, en partenariat avec le/la Manager Data & AI Platform et le/la Senior Manager Data Governance
• Anticiper les évolutions nécessaires du modèle opérationnel à mesure que le self-service se déploie et que l'IA gagne en maturité, et conduire ce changement
